So, Ann Coulter is at the Conservative Political Action Conference today.... After he's introduced to the crowd by Mitt Romney, he makes the statement:

"I was going to have a few comments on the other Democratic presidential candidate John Edwards, but it turns out you have to go into rehab if you use the word ?lovely human,? so I ? so kind of an impasse, can?t really talk about Edwards."

Video of the whacky fun of Ann Coulter and the comment....

heh heh heh.... What a hoot he is - even the kid from Deliverance would look at her and just shake his malformed head in pity....

I don't care what she says, but it's telling that the audience of that group laughed and cheered instead of booing her. And they wonder why they're tagged as bigots as they use that language and pass discrimination in laws not only for doing that, but for getting out the 'bigot vote' to elect republicans too.

She is the embodiment of the typical right-winger here at ATPN.

And typically, such person doesn't have the nuts to say something like that to anyone's face, just like the typical right-winger here at ATPN.

The scariest thing isn't that they admire her, it's that some of them think she's good looking! *shudder*

Those are quite possibly the most moronic statements I've ever seen. The type of statement that is the embodiment of the typical left-winger here at ATPN ;)

*sigh*, I expect a lot of crap. I read most of her books. Most are just rants that are stupid. But her one on McCarthy was surprising. It shed some light on this taboo subject that people are afraid to talk about.
And no, I don't like her at all...and she is scary.
Damn, I missed the L&O episode that was inspired by her. Maybe she got the death penalty. One could only wish.

Yeah, definition of intellectual dishonestly. All that mental agility gone to waste.

"I was going to have a few comments on the other Democratic presidential candidate Barak Obama, but it turns out you have to go into rehab if you use the word ?ni***r,? so I ? so kind of an impasse, can?t really talk about Obama."

:eek::thumbsdown:

Ah, the Republican Party, the one real party of choice for America's formost bigots.

Ironic isn't it how Bush tried to bring blacks into the party mostly based not education or opportunity, but on their shared hatred of "faggots"?

The scary thing is, i've heard of older conservatives recoil in horror at these conferences whenever she speaks and uses bigotted language while the younger ones eat it up. This is the future of the conservative movement?

I don't recall if Matthew Shepard was Iranian...

I didn't realize Matthew Shepard's death was state and community ssanctioned. In fact I think those guys are doing life who killed him. Big difference. Ann is just all talk - call me when she starts hanging and I'll be the first to shoot her.

No serious political candidate should be speaking in front of the same audience as that quack. I understand why they invite her on Fox News (for the car wreck entertainment factor), but anyone who actually buys into her garbage should off themselves for the good of humanity.

Basically she is a parasite. She achieves notoriety ridiculing powerful effective people. Without the prestige garnered by those she skewers she would just be the nobody she was before she began. Squawking birds are attracted to wakes.

I wonder too how much of it is just an act.
Someone theorized that Marilyn Manson would go home every day, wash off all the makeup, put on a Tshirt and jeans, and just laugh at all the people who worshipped his bizarre style.
Ann Coulter - maybe the same thing. She puts on an act every day, like Robin Williams does whenever there's a camera on him (except that he's generally amusing or funny), and once she's in private, she might just be mildly Republican. Or who knows, maybe she's actually a Democrat, but she does the act to get people pissed off at Republicans.

You guys act as if there are no democrats out there saying or doing offensive stuff.

Didn't Al Franken write a book called 'Rush Limbaugh is a big fat idiot'
Guess it is ok to insult the right, but there is hell to pay if you insult the left.

BTW calling Edwards a 'i love you' is a pretty stupid comment, but stupidity does not have a political affiliation, it is non-partisan.

"Big fat idiot" is hardly equal to "lovely human." Even you should know that.

How long do you think it would take me to find some liberal using a similarly offensive term towards a member of the 'right'?
The point is that there are people on both sides who say offensive things.

Y'know when she said that the 911 widows enjoyed the death of their loved ones, I thought that was a real knee slapper....
