I don't remember anyone saying they were happy Obama won because it made conservatives angry. Maybe someone did somewhere but it was certainly rare. imported_tajmahal doesn't seem to realize how weird and sociopathic what he said really is.
But I do remember a decade of non-stop insults.

There is a lot of potential in a Trump presidency, we need more business people in leadership of this country, rather than the long dominance of lawyers and activists. Trump certainly isn't the ideal person, but given the toxicity, I doubt anyone even close to ideal would ever consider to run.

Coming back to the decade of non-stop insults hurled from the elitest left, it's only fitting that some time is devoted to enjoying your misery :) That you don't remember anyone happy because conservatives were angry, you just have selective memory. Similar to the thread not too long ago when you defiantly said no liberal/democrat on this forum wants the election results overturned. Yet just read this thread. Your memory is not as good as you think it is.

Haha, thank you for proving my point so well. You never fail, cubby, that's why I like you. :)

Just a heads up we all know the reason "mexicans are rapists" resonated with so many isn't because leftists are mean.

It's a wonderful time for Trump supporters, after he has won, but before he takes power and the 4 years of excuses start.

So Clinton loses a third attempt at the presidency today. She should have taken her lose honorably now its just embarrassing and makes her look worse.

Since the electors are chosen by the parties the only realistic "dump Trump" scenario in my mind is that they elect Pence for President and Trump as Vice President.

Which is not an improvement to me, but the congressional Republicans would probably be over the moon.

I believe they vote every time there's a presidential election, so no, this is not an attempt by clinton to obtain the office, but with the disparity between the popular vote and the electoral vote, it's getting more attention than normal.

Ummmm... what? What does the procedural EC vote have to do with Clinton? This is every 4 years on this date.

So, what are some guesses on what will happen?

Maybe we'll see something like 2-3 Trump defectors (to another Republican, not Hillary).

So far one Democratic delegate defected from Hillary and voted for Sanders.

It's not the Republican party that's in disarray people.

What a joke. But that's not surprising since it is The United Corporations of America.

ROFL - a billionaire will now run the United Corporations of America.

It's like a movie.

Be honest, a few people here woke up today fearing Trump would lose the EC vote, and a few people woke up today hoping that Trump would lose the EC vote.

Don't lie.

Not only did America sign its suicide note on Nov. 8th, it finally got around to notarizing the document today.

Be careful what you have wished for, conservatives. This is what you will receive on Jan. 20th. Over the course of the next four years, remember: you voted for this.

Both were irrational. Remember that electors are mostly party loyalists. Expecting over 12% of GOP party loyalists to put their country first? Not going to happen.

Please. Repub attitudes have been an insult to common decency for some while, particularly after Obama was elected. The current round of gloating is just more of the same.

As all this shakes out, just remember that the govt is now run by the people you voted for. They'll pretty much have it any way they want it with no room for excuses. I doubt you'll really like the results any better than the liberals you vilify.

And you think if it was Hitlary getting the vote today I'd be happier?

You do realize that people don't see reality as it is. They see it through the lenses of their political ideology.

That is why one person will look at a supposed "news" story totally differently than somebody else.

They are both looking at it with heavily biased views that are usually already formed. So in the end, whether it's a Democrat or Republican in charge, both sides will not see reality of the situation.
