Was running softs as well. What lap times were you guys getting offline?

And what happened at the front lol? I started 8th but found myself in 3rd in the 1st lap?

Was getting 1:30-1:31 offline, but during the race I could barely break 2 minutes towards the end. All I saw was everyone just drive off and I was already 20 cars length behind the guy in front of me going into the first turn.

Not a problem. I saw you coming from behind and was getting a little careless here and there. Was a good battle though. 😀

Yep, was a fun fight for sure.

Also, has anybody else experienced this bug before? It has happened to me twice now and I would LOVE to fix it.. These are the only 4 ppl that showed up on my scoreboard/timing/anything; everybody else was just not there (or even on the track..) It was weird

Nope, I didn't have that error either. I came 1st in my screen lol 😀

Wish I had a wheel with me...can't wait to get one in a couple of months.

That is odd. I wonder if its a time thing since the four of us were there the earliest as well. I think us four were there ~515 (PST) with most people showing up 530-545+

Still a fun race with all the different skill levels. You guys had your race up front and even way in the back we were battling it out decently. Difference was position changes were usually from someone spinning out in the dirt 🙂 My softs ended up around 40% id say.

Hope it was smooth host wise for everyone. First time i'd really hosted so went ok for me.

As for times, offline/online practice i was usually 130-132 ish but online on my good laps i was 128-130 (couples with a few 150ish to make it interesting😛).

Weird. I figured it was an error when boshuter was telling me times and places that didnt match up to my screen. Who knows, hopefully itll fix itself

Great race guys

But I have bad news..... I may be out of it alltogether. I was waiting for the last car to finish so I could save the race and my PS3 just died 😱 Doesn't look like the YLOD problem, I'm hoping it was only heat and that it's not terminal. If it is, there is no way I can afford to replace it for a while.

I'll keep you informed, if it is dead, someone else will have to handle the drivers standing and stuff like that.

BTW; did anyone get a save of the race? You can go into the race results and save the whole race.

i closed the room after everyone left. Position wise shouldnt be to hard to figure out, especially with all of us doing it together. I know i was 8th, Quaker was 9th and Buck was 10th

From what I remember:
thilan29
jcox1
________
boshuter

Can't remember who was third, maybe boshuter was third? I'm sure of 1st and 2nd though.

Oh and I looked again for the server just now and there was another "AT GT300 week 1" going on.

meh honestly i could care less on the points. it was just fun to race against people i actually sort of know in a semi organized fashion instead of random people who join my room. Had way more fun sucking in this race than when im sucking against people i dont know 🙂

I'll get with you guys and get the order sorted out.

It looks like my PS3 isn't terminal, it will boot right up now. My fan doesn't seem to be working. I'll look into it and, hopefully, be back in action next weekend.

The IS350 felt slow the entire race and even during practice. I kept swapping positions with a guy (Sorry cannot remember your name) because of him driving off or losing his rear end, within a half a lap he would be passing me again. My tires were fine until the last lap and then they dropped off tremendously. Considering I had worked all afternoon just to buy that car, and got 15 minutes of practice in I guess I can't complain too much. Was fun and hope everyone stays or we even get more people in here! <ramble ramble ramble>

Pretty sure that was me for at least the first couple laps Waldo 🙂 Still not used to the racing wheel 🙂 I know after probably the 5th lap it was you and someone else.

Did you tune your car at all? If you just got it and ran it completely stock that oculd be why it felt slow.

Tuning helps quite a bit. I was running at best in the 1:31ish range before tuning my car. After tuning, I could run consistent 1:27s and the rare 1:26 (if I don't spin out.. 😉).

Yea, it was completely stock. I didn't have time to tune it. I'll be ready for the next race!

Your biggest gain will come from setting the trans top speed so it tops out right at the end of the long straight, that gained me a couple of seconds (think mine is set for around 172mph). Other than that, all I did was tweak the toe and camber settings to suit my driving style.

I ran that Lexux quite a bit in practice, it will run with all the other cars. Most of these Super GT 300 cars are very close in performance.

Agree, transmission will definitely be the most important tune. I had mine set so that i was almost at max on the main stretch, which was around 135mph I think.

As for suspension/alignment, it really comes down to preference and style. I had stiffness fairly high on my suspension and it was faster through everything but the corkscrew (bottomed out and spun a lot). Just play with different things to see what feels faster

It was brought to my attention that next Sunday is superbowl Sunday. We will not be having an official league race on that day. If any of you are interested in still running, we can get together on a different course and just run for fun..... post your thoughts. 🙂
