Lydia,

I asked Tech Support this question a couple weeks ago but I have not yet heard back from them. Can you help?

For the onboard Audio connector (JAUD1) I need some clarifications on how to connect the wires from my case.

My case wires are labeled and colored as follows:
LIN - Blue
LOUT - Red
Gnd - Black
Gnd Black(thick)
MIC IN - Green
MIC IN - Red
RIN - Brown
ROUT - yellow

I believe LOUT goes to 9, ROUT goes to 5, 1 of the GND goes to 2, 1 of the MIC IN goes to 1.

But the others, I don't know.

Thanks for your assistance Lydia.

Brett

I've got my board w/ a 3200+ Winchester OC'd to 2480 w/ air cooling and minimal voltage increases (Vcore 1.55v) and a memory divider at 166. Temp's holding steady at 50. CPU multiplier at 10 gives me better results than lower mult's do.

Don't you think maybe FSB 278 is just the top clock you can get in overclocking?

Thanks and regards,

hehehe.... I'm just trying to get everything out of my hardware that I can.
I just think it's something small that I keep overlooking.

Hi Breet,
Since something was wrong with our mail server, I am afraid that we didn't get your email. Sorry!
According to our R&D engineer, you can connect the wires with the JAUD1 connector as below:

LIN - Blue --> Pin 9
LOUT - Red --> Pin 10
Gnd - Black --> Pin 2
Gnd Black(thick) --> Not connected
MIC IN - Green --> Pin 1 (or Pin 3)
MIC IN - Red --> Pin 3 (or Pin 1)
RIN - Brown --> Pin 5
ROUT - yellow --> Pin 6

Thanks and regards,

What are the highest fsb setting that people have gotten to stable? I am at 250 without any problems using a 3000+ winny. I haven't really tried to push it any further since I would have to lower both the memory and HT dividers, and I think I would gain very little in the end. I really need to get a 3200+ with a 10x miltiplier and that would be ideal at 250fsb. Anyone else got anywhere close to 278 like X2C?

I've only gotten to 250 and it takes 1.6v to get that. I haven't tried faster as I don't like the temps I'm seeing.

HTT or Mem? I got some OCZ PC-4800 coming today and I'd like to run it 270/270 (htt/mem) but we'll see.

Can fans hooked into the SL-K8TPro-939 be controlled with SpeedFan? I set up SpeedFan, but it does not actually lower the fan speeds (I use SpeedFan on Asus motherboards with no problems). Thank you.

The marketing material seemed to indicate that the board would come with a parallel port and a second firewire port. These parts are listed as being optional, which means you can hook them up at your option. However, I did not get these parts as all. Do they actually mean "sold separately" instead of "optional?"

Hi Mfc2,
The "Optional" means they are not included in the M/B package and you have to purchase them "separately".
We are sorry for the misunderstanding.

Thanks and regards,

Haha, excellent. I'm still waiting for my waterblock/pump to arrive before I push harder than 270/270.

ah heck... It seems to be topping out @ 292FSB I cant quite get it there :(
2.7GHz from a 3000+ would have been nice lol

Lydi: kingstong hyper-x ddr333 run at 2-2-2-5 but chaning in the bios get me know where. they will only run 2-4-4-9. I can change them in a64tweaker and that worls but after a reboot they go back to 2-4-4-9

X2C: i have two maxtor drives in a sata raid. How did you get your OC ??

Many a hours tewaking LOL
It now cold boots with the OC still as well. I just changed things one at a time and tested it out. Voltages. LTD at different speeds and what not. Memory chaged to 166MHz and loosin off the timmings to 2.5-3-3-6
The CPU vcore dont make much difference I just put it at 1.6v just for those few tests. I run at 1.45v normaly

Rather weird.
I installed my better cooler again but cuz it is so big I moved my memory from 1-2 to 3-4 and I couldnt get anywhere near the clocks I had before.
I tried 1-3 (Single Channel) and still didnt come close.
I put them back in 1-2 (On a bit of a lean resting on the cooler) but I get my clocks back again?

So yeah, X2C: What are all of your BIOS settings if you don't mind? LTD, ram, timings, voltages... did you up the DDR voltage? What about the 2.5? I've tried playing around but I'm still at the 260 fsb ceiling that I've been at for a while...

Ok I'm priming ATM so I dont wanna reboot but I think I have remembered all of them lol

CPU FSB @ 292 with LTD at 600MHz 1.6vcore (But can go lower with that)
Memory set to 166MHz (2.5-3-3-6 2.8v)
All other voltages at default as they did nothing
Tried AGP Fastwrites off but that didnt help get any higher so turned it back on.

That's amazing X2C. Are you sure those are the only things you've changed from the "optimized defaults"? Seems kinda strange. I'm only getting 240 fsb stable here :/

dashiki/lydia: I'm getting the same problem as you dashiki. I have a pair of kingston hyperX 3200 doing 2-2-2-5-1T at 200mhz memory.

I just wonder .. what is this weird stuff that some seem to be able to go higher than 1.55V Vcore on this board ? 1.55V is the maximum setting on my board, and it only gives 1.52 as it undervolts. Anyone who knows ?

Unaimed, 245 is 100% stable 1:1 here but if i go up to 247 1:1 SuperPi starts getting errors. I havent tried with real slow timings yet ie 2.5-4-4-8, have to save some tricks for later. Not tweaking very much right now as the box runs beatifully as it is on 10x245 1:1.

Thanks X2C. I'm running 266 MHz stable right now. 2.8V dimm and 2.5-6-6-10 (albeit at 133 MHz... ram will run at 166, but I just wanna be safe here for a bit).

Im back down at 256x9 so I can get my memory 1:1 but I have lost alot of memory speed now and I cant figer out why.
I changed the memory back to 200MHz timmings are stil 2.5-3-3-6 2.8v but only getting 55xx in SiSoft
Hmmmm.....
