For some reason, when running the Confidence Course, I get to the end, but it does not acknowledge that I have completed it. I just stand there, time runs out, and it makes me run it again. Anyone else having this problem?

Did you run as far as you could past the end of the course? You have to run past the end of the barbed wire.

I ran past the end of the wire and up to the woods, then the whistle blows and I am back at the start.

Has ANYBODY been qualified past the MOUT training yet?????

This is starting to piss me off. Here is the message on the army board:

Q: How do I qualify in MOUT? I won a match but it doesn't say that I'm qualified?
A: A qualification attempt is made every time you win a round. Unfortunately, due to the massive amount of traffic currently being experienced by the Americas Army servers, many of the qualification attempts are failing. We apologize for this inconvenience. Please just keep playing MOUT and you will eventually get qualified. :| :| :| :|

nope.. i was still trying this morning.. i dont think it will ever happen in my lifetime.. and i think they caught onto some trying to connect to the servers inside the game using console.. now all i get is Connection Failed (I know it's not full, because a few servers were full and thus gave a "Server Full" error).. gamespy/homelan sux big time..

You need to start the game, hit the "tilde" key ` to bring down the console and type "open xx.xxx.xxx.xxx:7777" . If you do not get in just hit the up arrow and enter until you get in. I do not go through gamespy anymore, what a steaming pile of dung that is.

The console command to join a server is "open IPort". Simple enough.

You have to follow the seargants EXACT instructions. I think you have to do the time trial by using all the white obstacles, otherwise it will not count. I had the same problem as you did before i listened to what the guy said .

am i in the minority of people who think this game is lame? the frame rates are terrible, and no matter what video settings you make, there is no improvement. and i could do without all the army rhetoric.

maybe its my pos computer that's to blame

you have to run the course in the color lane that you first started in. like if you enter the first obsacle in the white lane then you must do all the obstacles in the white lane.

It's your computer. I have a Radeon 8500 @ 1600 X 1200 and it runs beautifully.

If you want to play for fun (and maybe even qualify) I have a MOUT server running off my laptop for the weekend. If all goes well I will run it longer.
If you get into it by yourself, which may happen before people start using it, hit F3 and choose a team, you will get to run around and check out the layout. If you know how to play the game, you can secure the objectives as you go.

I have another thread about my server, but here are the details:

Good lord!!! Do not try this through gamespy!!!

To connect directly do the following:

1. Start the game.
2. Log in after starting the game itself (that Army password thing, just in case you qualify)
3. Hit the ` "tilde" key (the key just above the tab key and to the left of the "1" key)
4. A little > willl show up and type in this (without the quotes) "open 24.120.49.189:7777" and hit enter.
5. Your screen should say "loading" in blue text then you will be admitted to the game.
6. Hit the ` key again to make the console go away.
7. Hit F3 to select a team, then wait for the join.
8. Have fun and watch the friendly fire.


I have decided to leave this server going for the weekend, so lets have some fun. (it is my laptop, but I have not seen a ping over 100 yet from us)

I am SARmedic when we play, please post your name here so we know who you are when we play.

Was just in there under the name ShotgunSteve, but no one was in the game. For some reason I kept getting these stutters in my movement, not sure if it is my videocard or what.

Yeah, I was getting that too. I don't think it was my videocard though.

i cannot play online either. I start the game, log in, choose the level, then launch gamespy, choose a level, and Operations reloads. But after that, nothing. I can wait 15 min and nothing happens.
