Pretty cool so far, graphics are nice enough. At 1600x1200 with stuff maxed it runs really fast. It's nifty how they take breathing into account when you are using the iron sights. I only saw the rifle range. I read elsewhere that there are 2 missions you can do without being online.

I hate to say it, but I think they optimized it for Nvidia cards. My system isn't that bad and anything above 1024x768 max detail gets choppy. Then again it could be drivers. But then again, again, it is hosted on Nvidia's site and they do say they optimized it for a GF2.

Just went through it again, gets cooler each time

Shoot your CO to get a view of the jail cell. I wish you could run around the camp but it restarts if you don't do what they say.
The gun can jam and the unjam animation is really cool. A whack to the side and a pull of the forward assist ejects the round and moves the next up.
Reload animation is the best I've seen
My dude is black! That's a first (I think you can change it though in the options menu, but nifty that the default dude is black)
Report sound is different in the prone position, one of those neat little details.

Two problems I noticed is that when you pick up the m16a2 your guy chambers a round, yet you don't have any rounds to shoot (eventhough you can see a round enter the chamber)
Army's basic m16a2 doesn't use the spoke flash hider I don't think.

Graphics are killer. Does compressed lightmaps need to be turned on or off for best graphics?

Can you go further than the firing range right now?

Bruno, leave compressed lightmaps off. S3TC compression is much like JPEG in that it works well on images that use a wide array of colors, but something with a very fine color change will come out blocky and banded. Lightmaps are one of these "fine" things.

Thanks, because Texture Compression=good, so was unsure. I don't seem to see any shadows on units though, just objects (like the signs have shadows, but the Drill Sergeant doesn't).

And it looks like colors are random if you haven't made your guy yet. I was one pale mofo last time I was in.

How to unlock all the game levelswithout logging into the servers:

1 Open the C:\Program Files\Army Operations\System\tours.ini file in notepad

2 Find the following lines:

Dependency(0)=-1
Dependency(1)=0
Dependency(2)=1
Dependency(3)=1
Dependency(4)=1
Dependency(5)=1
Dependency(6)=5
Dependency(7)=1
Dependency(8)=7

3 Remove those lines, and replace them with the following:

Dependency(0)=-1
Dependency(1)=-1
Dependency(2)=-1
Dependency(3)=-1
Dependency(4)=-1
Dependency(5)=-1
Dependency(6)=-1
Dependency(7)=-1
Dependency(8)=-1

4 Now find these lines:

TourSeq(0)=1
TourSeq(1)=0
TourSeq(2)=0
TourSeq(3)=0
TourSeq(4)=1
TourSeq(5)=1
TourSeq(6)=0
TourSeq(7)=1
TourSeq(8)=0

5 Remove those, and replace them with the following:

Hahaha...someone's already figured out how to unlock the levels, and the game hasn't even officially been released yet - that's precious.

You can also double click on the map you want to play, then tell it to open it with the army exe file. The best and easiest is probably to backup your rifle_range.aao file (or whatever) and rename the map you want to play to rifle_range.aao and just do it like normal and it'll load that map

Here's a stupid question...What part of the scope should you be aiming with? I can't consistently hit the farther targets when standing, even if I shoot while my d00d is holding his breath.
