Has nothing to do that most of the NY Dem political machine is a fucking mess and Hochul basically forgot to campaign. The poor choices of state level politicians on electoral strategy don't necessarily mean what you say they do.

Well it's hope and pray strategy on their part that the thousand dollars will act as a deterrent.

So realistically its hope and pray on both sides..

Thing is it somehow does work for people that value family and don't want to put their family in a tougher spot.. (usually young adults).

And that reasoning is usually enough for feels better to override facts.

Why don't we have Universal Healthcare?

And it's something that each of us is going to have to come to terms with to not have a 7-2 or 8-1 conservaterrorist scotus! The bottom line is you need more votes than facts on your side!

When the next gal who is out on no cash bail comes to rob you in a dark alley one night, stop and ask her if there is any evidence to support her robbing you while out on bail. Im sure she will be happy to answer your questions while forcing you to give her your valuables at gunpoint.

Number 2 is an easy one that doesn't belong on the list. We have the electoral collage because the the U.S. is a republic of 50 states. The states elect the president according to the desire of the people within that state, though even that is subject to how the state decides to distribute those electoral votes.

Number 4 is one I don't really understand as we already have lumpy universal health care that half assed works. Seems like it's time to fix that.

I thought the war on LGBT folks ended in a draw? It doesn't seem like there is anymore territory to fight over.

I'm not sure what you mean by the migrants being sacrificed. The folks that came here by sneaking across the border committed a crime. Most of that was a failure of the Federal Government, and is a failure to this day. Importing a peasant class was never a good idea because sooner or later they get tired of being peasant's. I also wonder if there is any other nation that allows uncontrolled immigration without consequence?
