I guess there are Liberal American gnats, no different from the Conservative American gnat.

And there are irrelevant jackasses who don't give a damn about staying on topic.

Well, I'm not really in a celebratory mood considering the real problem is far from resolved. But if you guys want to continue to jerk each other off without thinking about tomorrow, go ahead.
You are right... we should have left the captain on the lifeboat.

And then paid the pirates a million for his freedom. I am sure that would have really done a lot to stop future incidents.

I've seen you jump the gun with other people in other threads but it's amusing to see it happen to me. But let's stay on topic. Tell me, are you done jerking Harvey off?

In case you missed them, there are lots of other threads about there are lots of other important issues in the world. If you don't find one about the topics that interest you, I bet you know how to start one.

THIS is a good news story. It's no jerk off to celebrate it. In fact, it's just the kind of positive story we need to face of all the other bad news around us.

LOL @ the people defending the pirates. They seem to be the same people that defend all of the virgin-seekers in any thread they are involved in.

Do NOT fuck with United States Special Forces, is the lesson we learned here today

Too bad they didn't get them all. Now we will have to face the liberals that are determined to give the surviving pirate more rights than he deserves. I believe in the old fashion way for pirates ... hang them at sea in international waters. Then he can feed and replenish the sealife in the area.

Just my opinion.

Awesome. Pirates got owned epicaly and fully. I am guessing there were guns trained on that lifeboat from hour 0 when the warship showed up and they finally ended up with a chance to turn it to a killing zone without the captain being hit.
its gonna be more difficult from here on out. You have French commandos killing and rescuing hostages and now you have US commandos doing the same. Now pirate crews are going to go out with more weapons and probably more pirates.
I don't think that strategy will work for them. It's no secret where these guys are on land, it wouldn't be a terribly difficult job to start firebombing their general area. It's not happened yet because of the various innocents in the general vicinity, though.

And you don't think others will replace them? I don't think America has learned much from 9/11. Failed states don't get fixed with guns.

No, they get solved by bullets, cruise missiles, tanks, and B-52's dropping daisy cutter cluster bombs.

OMG!!! I cant beleive it...

I dont think I have ever seen you make a post that wasn't attacking Obama or some other dem. Congratulations.

Yea, but Obama approved the use of force it seems.

I am guessing that there is more to the story. I bet the captain knew there were seals in the area and jumped in the water knowing they would react and save his ass.

One thing I hardly hear mentioned is that the ship that they were trying to hijack was carrying food aid for Africa. And some people are defending the pirates?

Hey! Did you hear the good news? The American captain was rescued, three of the four were pirates killed, and the last one is in custody.

I know that will be a complete suprise to you, but it may cheer you up enough to help your ridiculous attitude.

A Daisy cutter is NOT a cluster bomb.

You're missing the point. The long view should always regress to mediocrity. In other words, there is an average that we should seek.

When these pirates threatened to kill the captain, they deserve whatever was coming for them.

You will have to forgive Dari he`s barely out of the 6th grade, thus he is single minded and does not know the difference between good and bad news!

He also does not understand that it is OK to say Job well done with the realization that we didn`t win the war on this sort of thing but hey we won a battle!!

what is the average?

For countries? It should be a country with a stable government, strong property rights, judicial rights, and an open economy.
