Ryzen looks like cheap Haswell-E, not anything even closely resembling 7700k.

Nothing wrong with just cheap Haswell-E in my book though.
Architecturally I'd say it's more a hybrid of Skylake and Ivy Bridge than anything.

~10% behind per clock and ~10% behind on 24/7 clocks (on current rumor cycle). 20% behind is not "very close".

It has some stuff from cat/con cores too, though.

Don't get me wrong, the score looks within my expectations, and I don't see anything obviously fake about it. I just really dislike when people just post pictures like that with no explanation.

Sorry but I had to adblock OrangeKrush's new avatar...couldn't handle it.

Was like seeing a black widow hanging from my monitor. Couldn't even read his posts ; ;

So there you have it...lower IPC compared to haswell...obviously way higher multiscore and lower price will help Ryzen overcome this...

this is margin of error stuff, if this result is real I think that's really impressive for AMD, really far above what I expected when Zen rumors started, and combine that very decent ST performance with cheaper moar cores+HT and you have a winner.
