But the memory shows at 1023 mhz, thats for the default 2133. So is that mhz number 1/2 the real ? what do I set that to for PC3200 ?

Yeah, half the marketing number :) I think there's actually a multiplier from the 100Mhz b-clock. IIRC, it wound up being just shy of 1600 (1593? 1597?), but on the GB board, I set the multiplier

Well, I have 4 ghz all 8 cores, and 1467 (2933) on memory, testing stability now. vcore=1.4, temps 79c in RyzenMaster, which from what I read really means 59c.

And on a $89 motherboard !

The 20C off set was only for 1700X and 1800X not the 1700, sorry trying to find in the thread which one you ordered in the end but so many posts xD.

My 1700 @3.8ghz with multiple runs of Cinebench 15, along with an hour of Dirt Rally and another hour of Overwatch ( using the supplied HSF ) hit a max of 58' according to the Ryzen Master. Room temp of ~ 72'F.

Where do I see that ?
I believe HWmonitor can tell you that. It shows as "TMPIN3" for me but I don't have a ryzen system so I don't know what it could be on those but I'm sure you can find it under the motherboard temps.

So, what is the favorite benchmark to run ? (not games)

*Cough cough* https://forums.anandtech.com/threads/part-2-measuring-cpu-draw-call-performance.2499609/

If you could try running that benchmark with the following setup, with no HT:

Running on 2 CCX's (use Process Hacker), @ official memory clock (2400? 2666?)
Running on 2 CCX's, @ max memory clock (3000mhz?)
Running on 1 CCX ,@ official memory clock
Running on 1 CCX, @ max memory clock

Make sure you're on your latest motherboard BIOS as well. Really hoping the platform's updates have put it past Core 2 in draw call processing.

Anyone with the Asus Prime B350 have issues when trying to wake the machine up?

Since I've had the board, I've had it lock up both times when it was coming up out of sleep.

Newegg reviewer says : "If the SATA HDDs go to sleep they will not wake up. NVMe does not have this problem. Happens with both spinning disks and SSDs. ASUS' support said just to turn off that functionality in Windows. That does work, but I don't want my HDDs spinning all hours of the day. If the HDDs go to sleep you have to reset the computer."

@All I have been running Trident Z for a week now at 3200 MHz.

Your BIOS says 3200 15-15-15-35, while CPU-Z and whatever that is below it both say 16-15-15-15-35. Did you adjust it after taking the BIOS screenshot, or is there something odd there?

Also, your core voltage is at 1.417V in the BIOS? That seems scary high.
ok, I got hpet enabled. But the memory shows at 1023 mhz, thats for the default 2133. So is that mhz number 1/2 the real ? what do I set that to for PC3200 ?
Aren't all DDR frequencies "doubled" in this way (and why the term GT/s (giga-transfers per second, I think) is technically more correct)? I think so. My DDR2-1066 (well, slightly lower due to a 450MHz FSB) runs at something like 500MHz.
3200 would then be 1600, no? Still, it's odd for an OC settings menu to operate with these numbers, as that's just confusing.

TMPIN3 is at 40c, so that looks OK. The hottest temp I see is my M.2 MP500 NVMe at 68c ! I am having trouble find a decent and not too spendy HSF for that. Any suggestions ?

Yes, Could someone please help me understand this? When the frequency is 2133 it is all 15-15-15-15-35

Yes strange, I don't know why. even if I don't do DOCP it is like this. But it fluctuates a lot. It hovers around 1.26 but sometimes jumps to 1.45 and then back.
If I reduce the voltage my system hangs and reboots. I am not even overclocking.
Also the R7 turbo for no reason. Why?
Voltage shoots from 1.2 to 1.45 doing nothing.
Temperature jumps from 55 degrees to 70 degrees doing nothing. Granted that weird +20 1700X and I am at 16 degrees ambient.
Worse part, CPU-Z, BIOS and Ryzen master show different voltages and temperatures. WTH is going on?
Is this a Ryzen issue or a B350 Prime issue?

Someone please help me?:coldsweat::coldsweat::coldsweat:

Dear goodness, my ASUS AI3 says I am at 0.400 V.

Any one who has the Asus Hero VI could you tell me how long it takes for your motherboard to power up and boot into windows? I got my Rig put together today with a r7 1800x and using a Sandisk 256GB SSD with Windows 10 takes like one full minute to and one and a half full minutes just to get into windows. The second I power on the unit it goes through like 20 or 30 post codes then powers on the motherboard then runs more post code checks then finally decides to boot into windows.. Is this normal?

OK< I found an old P5Q (socket 775) motherboard laying around that I will never use again. I took the VRM heatsink off one side, ground it down just a little on the ends (it comes with its own thermal pad) and just pressed it onto the SSD. now its 60c max, instead of 70. Now if I could find a way to apply more pressure to hold it on, maybe it would come down more !

No No No No Nooooooooooooooooooooooo...!! I just restarted my computer and when it powered back on it black screened on me and now says "Bios is updating" "Do not shut down or reset the system to prevent system bootup failure". I did nothing!! I didnt even ask it to update my bios. omg what do I do?? is there a way out of this? its not doing anything, its just been sitting at this screen for like 10 mins now. do I need to press enter or something? dear god I hope its not gonna brick on me.

Zip ties ought to do the trick, no? Probably a good idea to replace that thermal pad with a fresh one too, if it's that old.

For anyone else that finds their CPU temps report waaaaaaay to low on the Crosshair 6 Hero, there is a known bug in the 902 bios that can be fixed with some BIOS tweaks:

We went a little bit too far with the tweaking, probably future BIOSes will go back to 5803 behavior. You can manually restore this by setting the Sense Mi skew to 272 under Tweaker's paradise.

That is a great idea, why didn;t I think of that. But thermal pads are $10 each every place I can find them. What ripoff.

I have your mobo - I have not been paying attention to voltage.
However, I have Windows 10 power mode set to high performance, the CPU overlclocked to 3.8ghz (and Ryzen Master shows that it's running continuously at 3.8ghz, never downclocks) and I haven't hit higher than 58'C... my rooms ambient is 72F/22C.

I'll check tonight and see where my Voltage is.

Ryzen disables any and all power saving features when overclocked, and locks the CPU in the P0 state. Constant OCs thus lead to high idle temps and never downclocking.
