Using Asus ROG Hero 1401 beta BIOS, the GSkill F4-3200C16-16GVK double-sided hynix 16-18-18-38 memory can finally be run at 3200 strap, using auto ProcODT will not boot. I set it to ProcODT=60 Ohm with custom timing that I grab by running 2933 strap and overclock the bclck to mirror the secondary timing.

vcore 1.46 at 3.9GHz
4 x 16GB memory at 3120 14-14-14-16-34-72-6-9-33-4-12-23-33, 2T
Soc 1.15v
vdimm 1.475v
vttddr 0.75v
vddp 1.035v

Vcore is a little high for that clock speed. You're most certainly to see some negative effects if you try to run it at that 24/7.

Holy shit.

I've heard horror stories about blue screens like CPU is not registered on this install.

Turns out I lied about the activation bit ... it deactivated me yesterday. Luckily I have a bunch of Windows 7 Pro academic keys lying around from when I grabbed them in college (Dreamspark?). A random one of those worked fine.

I think they've improved hardware swap capability quite a lot. I also had no trouble swapping a 2600k to 6700k, though that one is arguably a little easier.

Yeah, you got some good deals there. Better than I've gotten lately! Nice job!

Gotta take advantage of as many Newegg and eBay coupons as possible... sometimes if you get in early right when a 10% off subscriber coupon or $10-20 off $X purchase coupon is released, you can get things before the merchants jack up prices $10 to compensate. Making already decent deals pretty sweet.

The 1700 I'm assuming was from Refurbforless on ebay? I've seen some horror stories. How was your luck?

No issues, appeared properly sealed and didn't notice any signs of use on the CPU. I haven't tried overclocking yet but it's running fine at stock.

Thanks for that. I am really tempted to build my last machine with a CPU from there. I'm not sure if I want to grab a 1700 or 1700X this time around. Maybe even an 1800X if the price is right. I'm going all out for this build. Crystal 460X, X370 Taichi, a new PSU probably with Cablemod.

Could only get my RAM up to 3066 with the newest update this round. SOC 1.1 and DRAM 1.4. Doesn't boot at higher frequencies.

On the AsRock Killer SLI/AC board, I got my gskill 32 GB DDR-2400 running at DDR-2800 with same timings and 1.36V.

Can't seem to get it to boot at 2933. :(

I was able to lower my SOC below 1.0V by setting CLDO_VDDP to 1.0V. Was having trouble booting just raising SOC.

Tomahawk bios 1.65
R7 1800X @ 4.0 GHz 1.3375v Llc 1
32Gb G Skill TridentZ F4-3200C14-16GTZ (3200MHz 14-14-14-34) 1.35V
SOC 0.975V

whats the defailt CLDO_VDDP?

My G Skill boots with 1.0 Soc but does not stay stable during an intense gaming session.

So was the Prime 350m. I updated from the beta to final and my 3000 Hynix is still kicking @ 3066 Mhz c14 like before. The only thing is my cpu oc from the .6a beta. Still looking into that.

Got the AGESA 1.0.0.6 update on my ASRock Killer SLi/ac. I was able to bump my Corsair Vengence 3200 up from 2933 to 3066. Oddly CPU-Z doesn't report the memory speed at all now and Ryzen Master says it 3200.

What timings and voltage did you use?

I left the timing alone at 16-18-18-36. Voltage is also at stock 1.35. The system wouldn't boot after the update so had to reset the BIOS with the jumper. I'm not sure why that was needed because it should have been reset with the update. I'll play with it more tomorrow.

Incredible they havnt fix that kind of bug yet. We have seen it several times. I think it gives a lot of trouble.
So perhaps this procedure is still needed:
Clear cmos
Update
Clear cmos
Alter settings

Use bios to update.

1006 working great with 3200 CL 14. However, using XMP doesn't work. It will not POST. I don't know if it's this specific board BIOS or the AGESA in general. If I manually set all of the timings, and I mean like the 12-15 of them, contained in the SPD profile I have no issues. Very odd.
