I noticed that as well. Really weird seeing three (edit: four, actually) BIOS updates in as many days. Other than AGESA version, the only change I see in the BIOS concerns SATA RAID. On my TUF X570, anyway, though I doubt there's any BIOS difference among this tier (prime, tuf, etc.)

Somewhat related, is there a reason it says in the motherboard manual and on the site to rename the file "##X570P.CAP"? I've flashed both original and renamed and seen no difference. It seems a strange thing for them to go out of their way to mention. Is it about file name lengths that could affect some people?

I actually never noticed that and I just flash them as is I don't rename.

Oh wow. Since flashing the 2407 bios I can't boot even with super safe memory timings. No idea what happened, but going back to 2204.

I went from 1407 to 2407 on my Prime X570 - P and windows wouldn't boot. It enabled sata raid by default. It was fine once I disabled it. I'm running memtest86 to confirm my RAM settings now.

BIOS re-name is only required for usb bios flashing. It doesn't matter if using the BIOS tool. The regular and renamed bios flash fine via the bios utility. This has been the case going back to 300 series boards in my experience.

It was 2407 that hated my memory settings. Flashed 2204 and it booted no problem with the same saved settings.

With Bios 1405,1407 after I flashed them my system would hang at the bios splash screen on the first boot after flash unless I plugged the my sata drives in Raid 0. After that I could boot into the bios then enable the raid and tell it to boot off my M2 drive where windows is.

After flashing 2203 that was no longer needed system saw everything after that first reboot. The Raid Array was working and boot order correct.

I will try 2407 tomorrow morning.

POST. It would hang at the DRAM debug LED.
Weird. I re-entered all of my voltages and timings. It just blanked out a bunch of stuff when I loaded the old 1407 profile so i reset to default and re-entered my settings. Mine posted fine with the previous memory settings but wouldn't boot windows because of the SATA RAID bug. I just re-assembled the system with some hardware changes yesterday so I'm still working out kinks. It keeps crashing realbench and tossing WHEA errors which is why i updated the bios after I saw there were new versions.

I was told old profiles won't work once you upgrade to 2203 and newer and you should be recreating them.

I flashed 1407 (which was the latest version) when I post tested my board shortly after buying it 2ish weeks ago. I didn't have any SATA weirdness with my single SATA SSD before 2407. I've never had any kind of RAID setup on this system or even had a second SATA drive plugged in.

I can confirm this. I didn't even try posting when a bunch of settings were blanked out after loading the 1407 profile. I reset to default and re-did all of my settings. So far so good on my memtest86 run. 1st pass didn't throw any errors.

Oh yeah I had to re-enter everything also. I meant the values I entered were the same as those in the profile I always use which still didn't work. Even loosening the timings and increasing voltage to absurd levels would fail. Since others aren't experiencing it, it may be my RAM.

I just flashed 2407 and no issues everything is working fine for me.
Me too. Just passed Memtest86 and 8 hrs of realbench. After the weird SATA RAID being enabled thing after the flash everything is working right. No more WHEA errors and temps dropped a few degrees.

Anxiously awaiting "ComboAM4V2PI 1.0.0.2"-based BIOS for my B450-F, so that I can "Fry" my 3600 again. (LOLNO. I'm keeping it at stock from now on. At least for the near future.)

MSI has an update for it's x570 boards, but it's in beta
"- Updated AMD AGESA ComboAm4v2PI 1.0.0.2 "

That is the 4th version of the Beta 19
( thus the 4 )

The 1st appearance of Beta 19 was in Dec 19.

I would wait ....

Hey everyone! I finally had some time to play with my new Ryzen 9 3900XT :)
I'm still finding my CPU limits here, but I think this CPU isn't that bad ...

CPU.PNG

Out of the box it ran all core CB20 at around 4100 - 4050 MHz and less demanding applications at 4300MHz. All that on custom water with Corsair XC7 block.
When doing single core CB15 or CB20 I was sad to see most of the cores hitting 4.35GHz, but first chiplet had core constant clock of 4.6GHz+ with peaks of 4.75GHz!

Then I've tried all core oc and 4.2GHz was easy at 1.2V, 4.3GHz needed around 1.3V and 4.4GHz ... well that so far didn't work even with 1.38V, but I haven't tried too hard yet. Instead I've started playing with chiplet clocking to see how that will work.

I've concentrated on R15 for now as I'm still tweaking and just looking for fairly quick test, but it feels solid enough at that setting.
I've also quickly tried this, but at 1.34V it wasn't all core CB15 stable :D

The score from that SC run was 215 points.

I think I'm happy with what this CPU can do ;)

Not sure if this is any good, but I did a quick power efficient profile with 3.2GHz all core at 0.97V resulting in CB20 Core + SoC load power of 53W (HwMonitor stock 99% accurate) and 145W from wall (98W idle).

Looks like it's close to my 3900X from last year. Though I never had a Pi run that fast. I did break 9s once or twice. Fastest ST CBR15 I've got on record is 211 (haven't tried that hard) and MT is 3453. Careful with the voltage.

Have you tested the chips IF limits yet?

Not yet, as I was getting occasional error on long memory tests and no amount of voltage was helping it (1.35 to 1.45VDDR and 1.0 to 1.12vSoc). Then I've touched my RAM modules and as there are 4 DIMMS populating all 4 slots they were surprisingly warm. Added fan over memory and errors are gone, so now I will push 3800/1900 again.

As for CPU, this is now "stable" 6c@4600 + 6c@4350 IF1800 Mem 3600 @1.35V vSoc@1.05V:
CinebenchR15 CPU-Z AIO 4350MHz+4600MHz 1.4V IF1800 Mem3600 4sticks optimized.PNG

Ran CB15 3 times now with these settings and a bunch of other tests. BTW previous 4500/4350 at 1.34v was also CB20 stable but I will tweak some more before posting scores to CB thread.

I'm not worried about voltages as my daily will be most likely 4.3/4.5 1.32V and ECO 4.2 @1.2V flat. Cooling is good and I can keep CPU well under 80C no matter what load with capacity to spare in Pump and Fan RPM. I'm only hitting 160W under heavy loads with 1.4V :D
