@Pandora's Box CPU temps seem a bit high. What is the ambient temp? Are you getting good air flow in case? (Looks like you should be). Are you running overclocked?
I think it's the AIDA64 stress test. Cinebench doesnt break 72C.

Yeah..I'm an idiot. I had the front intake fans blowing out of the case...I switched their orientation. Re-ran the AIDA64 test:

CPU (Tctl/tdie) - 88.5C / 80.3C
CPU Die (Average) - 81.2C / 77.5C
CCD1 - 89C / 80.3
CCD2 - 83.3C - 80.8C
Motherboard - 44C / 38C
CPU - 88.9C / 80.4C
VRM - 54C / 45C
Voltage Regulator Loop 1 - 61C / 51C
Voltage Regulator Loop 2 - 54C / 48C
DIM 0 - 50.5C / 42C
DIM 1 - 48.8C / 41.8C
NVME SSD (Idle) 41C / 35C
2080 Ti - 67C / 62C

^^ Nice, that's a good improvement! What kind of RPM do you run them at? I keep most of my fans around 800 or so, moving air but fairly silent.

I have my fan profiles set to my CPU temp. That way they spin up under heavy loads and keep the system cooler. My Noctua stays pretty quiet even at max fans. The only fan that gets noisy is my rear 140mm fan - forget the brand right now, it’s been in that case for 5 or 6 years.

Noctua forever. Expensive or not every fan will always be noctua for me in the future.

Using an old discontinued cooler (NH-C14) with my ryzen system. Had to request an AM4 mounting kit but, after sending this pic:

20170805_100640.jpg

(I covered in white my full name and e-mail for posting purposes, but they are required).

They sent it for free: had to wait about one week for it to arrive. Not bad, for a ten year old cooler, already discontinued for several years.

They are expensive, no doubt but the quality is there and they usually provide you with newer mounting kits for free (like my AM4, in my case), provided you present proof of ownership of @ least 2 items: cooler + either CPU or board. As seen in the pic, i chose the board.

Decided to check my own temps running Aida64 Stability test with a 15 min run.

The H150i is set to balanced mode and still super quiet can't hear anything.

There's a reason Noctua is highly respected in cooling / fan department.

I've yet to even hear about any of their products having RMA forcing issues. I'm sure there are but i haven't heard of any. As such, i honestly don't know how good / bad their RMA department is.

Remember: they offer 6 years warranty on most, if not all, of their products.

I have them all running at 1000rpm, the cpu fans don't increase speed until 80c then its max speed.

When I tested, I had the gpu selected as well

Hey all,

Here is my finally completed build. Had a few issues with the CPU having bent pins then having to locate a new vendor. Specs are in sig.

Be Quiet and Artic also make great fans. I could never get over the colors Noctua used until the black Chroma color came out recently.

I've had a couple Arctic coolers and they were nice. Noctuas were/are fugly till the new blacks came out - worse looking bit on my system.

Well, trying mode 1 (lowest LLC setting) with -0.1 vCore offset. Runs really cool and low watts - doesn't quite boost as high for peak or all core. Great option for people with subpar cooling, but I'm not sure I'm going to stay there. May go for an all core overclock, just to see what I can get. Oh, Cinebench R20 score only dropped 0.5% or so. Interesting.

Hmm, running OCCT w/o AVX I had lower package power usage. With Linpack, I was still using 145W - and, OCCT reported 56 errors (!) in 3 hours of runtime. OCCT doesn't say what those errors under Linpack were (can't find a logging option). Anways, more tinkering to do :)

Hmm! My MT score actually went up about 300 points that way. Actually one time I got a 7600 but I haven't replicated that. Maybe try different offsets? It does run a lot cooler though.

MSI MPG x570 GAMER EDGE WIFI - received yesterday.

Some obvious issues with BIOS - 7C37v16 Release Date 2019-11-07
1 laggy response -
2. Freezing Win10 on shutdown and corrupting W10 if you use Ryzen Master
3 RGB not working - ( thats OK with me )
4. Tweaking BIOS for DDR4 ( Default CPU timings for Ryzen 3800x )
---- will drop previous timings - unable to duplicate previous overclocks
( requiring to swap DDR sets to " re-set " memory timings in BIOS.

That being normal for the new UEFI BIOS motherboards ?
Because, I had the same issues with a ASUS x470 PRIME PRO.

Using XMP DDR4 4000 is NOT 2000 Mhz - ( 1000 Mhz only )
( BIOS see it as XMP 4000 but only 1000Mhz in CPU-z)
So clock your DDR to 3800 ( 1900 Mhz )

My DDR4 = Gskil F4-4000C19D-32GTZR
Trident Z RGB - DDR4-4000MHz CL19-19-19-39 1.35V - 32GB (2x16GB)
( the RGB lighting control software not working - cant turn OFF or change color )

I attached screenshot of my current P95 testing.

3800x currently using DEFAULTS
and cooling on AIR ( maxed 92C min 32C on P95 - see screenshot )

3Dmark over 10k on Time Spy
( ASUS STRIX GFORCE RTX GAMING 2070 - core 2040 mem 14600 )
