Of course the usual circle-jerk crew comes in this thread to crap all over it.

It'd be nice to have an enthusiast community that looks forward to new CPUs and products, regardless of vendor, rather than shills and fanboys ruining discussions. No doubt, some of you try to ruin everything that you don't own stock in or work for.
cpu forum was great then it got invaded.

I'm waiting for Zen, and since I heard of it, nothing short of it really interests me from AMD.

I feel the same. I've been building an intel based rig in my shopping cart over and over these past few months. The thought of something compelling from AMD gives me pause. But I doubt I'm going to wait around for a year before building that box.

Being new doesn't mean its good, interesting or immune to bashing.

I have more than $60 to spend on a CPU, so +10% over their 2009 intel level performance isn't something to look forward to.

Scholzpdx seems to think that if you aren't jumping with excitement about a new product -- particularly from a company that has put out disappointing products for a decade -- you are a shill.

No embarrassment here, thanks.

And just because MSI doesn't have specs doesn't mean it's not complete.

Exactly this. AMD likely has the whole platform ready to go at this point for a spring launch. Just because two bit outfits like MSI aren't kept in the loop doesn't mean premier launch partners like Biostar and Zotac won't be ready to go on day 1.

As stated earlier MSI makes HP and Lenovo boards. If the VP of MSI motherboards say they don't have specifications yet, that they aren't even talking to AMD yet, that the he doesn't think the specs are complete yet, then it's a pretty safe bet.

Unless you think AMD doesn't want to HP and Lenovo to sell Zen based systems.

Can you provide a quote from another comparable source that says the motherboard specifications are complete? Or that other board makers are actively designing Zen motherboards at this time?

1) Just because MSI doesn't have specs doesn't mean its not complete. you should provide a source that says its not.

2) Is MSI the only board supplier to HP and Lenovo? You’re insinuating they are.

3) No I cannot but I'm not the Intel fanboy trying to derail another AMD thread.

Stating the truth makes me a fanboy?

Anybody that’s been on this forum for at least a week is aware of where your allegiance lies.

Yes I'm an AMD fanboy but I don't try to derail every thread that's not AMD related.

I think there is a big difference in trying to shoot down posters who are in anyway enthusiast about a possible new true alternative from AMD and jumping for excitement.

That is why the extreme effort in disparaging an enthusiastic and possibly hopeful pro AMD poster is very childish and quite immature.

Who benefits?

Who benefits from the truth? Everyone.
Not when the mocking posts has all the characteristics of being posted by a gang of bigots.

That simple word, truth, or to be more precise your truth. The fact that there are different values here means no universal truth, else there would be very short arguments.

Just relax and let people enjoy themselves.

I doubt it, AMD is likely going to prioritize other key vendors like Jetway to ensure decent availability and quality at launch.
ASUS is known by AMD since they were the ones who made AM1+ a really good experience.

Also there is Gigabyte.
