Nvidia will beat AMD on 5 tiers of performance from the gtx595 (or whatever they call it) on down to the 6850 vs the gtx/gts or slower version of the gtx560.

Something like this

GTx595 vs 6990
gtx580 vs 6970
gtx570 vs 6950
gtx560 vs 6870
gtx 560 768/SE/550 (or whatever they call it) vs 6850.

Where I come from they call it blind or dont want to see it unless it smacks them in the face.

I'd like to see the dual GTX480 card, or the dual GTX470, or the dual GTX460 or the GTX475.
All cards you (and others) have made threads about based on rumours (often from Fudzilla).
Smack me in the face with one of those launched cards, and I will gladly believe your invented GTX550.
(Not to mention the GTS455 or the rebadged HD5700 series which hasn't been mentioned for a while).

That's not to say there won't be something coming based on a cut down GTX560, but I'd rather wait than talk about an invented card.
Also cut down cards can end up being pretty bad (HD5830, GTX465), so there's nothing to guarantee better performance of this non-existent card vs the HD6800 cards.

I said i wouldn't know the dual cards its impossible due to downclocking. I never said I knew clockspeeds either. Thats not important in deciding which card is faster any way. They could all change tomorrow. A good guess would be 775 core and go from there.

Fine. We will add a condition to the bet such that you don't need to get the clock speed of the dual card right. But, what do you mean you never said you knew the clock speeds? You said you could get "everyone spot on". When someone says that, it seems that clock speeds would be included. Can you tell me why "everyone spot on" does not include clock speeds?

Well theres only one way to cut that card down and thats a 336 sp variant. Raise the clocks a little and it woops the 6850.

Yes its got what 6 less rops . But both memory and gpu were also clocked higher than 480s So it looks like I was correct AGAIN! You can argue about Rops all you want but 6 rops more on the 570 and the same clocks for the 570 Vs the 480. Nothing would change.

It would be better to work in the decimal format rather than percentage format if we are making this official.

r = 5870
g1= 480
g2 = 580

g2 = 1.399*r = 1.18*g1
g1 = 1.399/1.18*r
g1 = 1.185*r

From that equation you can put what it means into words: The GTX 480 is equal to the performance of the HD 5870 times a factor of 1.185. Or you convert this to percentage and say the GTX 480 is 118.5% the performance of the HD 5870 (of denotes multiply!). Or simply, the 480 is 18.5% faster than the 5870.

But shortcuts are always fun and that's why I use them!

Do you still honestly believe the GTX595, if it exists/ever gets made, will beat the HD6990?
Given that AMD still has an efficiency advantage (HD6970 is at least equal to the GTX570 while using less power) and has better Crossfire scaling, it's going to be mighty impressive if NV does somehow manage to beat the HD6990 with a dual GPU chip, unless it uses the GTX560 chip and that is at least as efficient as the HD69xx GPU and scales well.
Since you say GTX570 x2, then it's pretty much impossible unless they only make 5 of them using the most harvested GPUs ever.
