AMD 6000 series vs Nvidia gtx500 series who will win? Poll included.

This is what I voted.

gtx595 faster then the 6990(Ifigure the gtx595 will be a dual gtx570)
gtx580 faster" " " " 6970
gtx570 faster " " " 6950
gtx560 faster " " " 6870
gtx550/gtx560se faster " " ' 6850(I figure the gtx550 will be a overclocked gtx460)

A complete performance sweep for Nvidia. Nvidia will adjust clocks to beat the 6870/50 with the gtx560 and 550.

This is silly. And who knows what the GTX 595 will have - rumors are that CaymanXT draws < 200W, more like 190W, and so they can do the same 2 x CaymanXT cores @ Pro clocks that the 5970 did w/ Cypress, in which case 2X GTX570s probably wont win

I think that performance (and relative price) will be close enough such that personal company preference will be the determining factor, as usual.
If it is then one or both of the companies has seriously messed up and I believe both are better than that.

I only voted on three; the 580 and 570 are probably going to be slightly faster then the 6970/6950. Also the 6990 faster than the 595 because it's probably not going to be made.

If it were possible, I'd vote for overall stalemate. As no option even resembles that, I abstain from voting. A stalemate would be great, as it would end up with lower prices + special edition cards pretty quick.

But I actually think the 6990 will take the absolute crown, because AMD can afford to use 2 high end cards together while Nvidia cannot... So it will be pretty much 6970 x 2 vs 570 x 2 , at which point its clear the 6990 wins

But yeah, "pure performance poll" I wonder why this wasnt made a year ago when AMD had the clear lead... Oh I know, back then Nvidia fanboys kept pushing Physx and other crap instead

I think the 6970 will be faster than the 570, 560, 550

I think the 6990 will be faster than the 6970, 6950, 6870, 6850 and also, all previous ATi and nV cards.

I am also tempted to vote for the GTX580 being faster than itself. If the GTX580 is the fastest card ever then it must be faster than the GTX580.

Please add these options.

1) There are fanboys
2) Half these cards aren't out yet
3) Less than 10&#37; of people that make up the VGA market actually have these...

I voted for 580, 570 and 560. the other two nvidia cards aren't even a twinkle in jhh's eye yet (if ever) so I didn't vote for 6850 and 6990, though both of them will win by default.
