Hes just trying to troll away at starting another flame war here

You are entitled to having an opinion regarding your fellow forum colleagues.

You are NOT entitled to publicly posting that opinion if that opinion is negative or critical of the member in a personal manner.

VC&G is not the correct venue for expressing critical feedback regarding forum members. The proper venue for that is private messaging, alternatively you could opt to simply not express your opinions when it comes to negative characterizations of forum members.

Publicly posting your favorable or positive opinion of a fellow forum member is acceptable and encouraged, naturally.

Why can't you type "faster than"?
Is it really so hard to spell check your own poll?

This type of critique is best left to pm, no need for public admonishment of your fellow forum members. (That's best left to the mods)

And then versus than is a grammar thing, not a spelling thing.

Please no more publicly displayed "grammar/spelling Nazi" intolerance in VC&G threads. It is divisive and condescending, not constructive or respectful. Provide your feedback if you must, but do so in private.

This thread is pointless for 3 reason:

1) There are fanboys
2) Half these cards aren't out yet
3) Less than 10% of people that make up the VGA market actually have these...

4) People like me can vote for every single option to screw it up. (including Badboy and Barfo and I'm sure others as well.)
5) It doesn't have any meaning because whatever our opinions are, it won't impact the actual way these cards perform, so it's utterly pointless speculation about cards that aren't even rumoured to exist in some cases.

seems fairly even.....

I'm surprized to see not everyone picked the gtx 560 and 550. You don't think Nvidia will adjust clocks on those highly overclockable gf104 chips to outdo AMD?

LOL.. I selected.. every option.. as did a few other people.

Well I suspect some of us are more grown up than that.

Its a public poll . I can sift through the numbers and see who the $ssholes are.

It is not acceptable to post such negative comments towards your forum colleagues.

If a member is threadcrapping then report their post and air your sentiments into that comment box, don't drag it out into the public like this and escalate and already inflammatory situation.

It is often surprising to realize that other people don't think the same things you do.

For most people, this surprise diminishes as they grow up. Others, however, walk around in a constant state of amazement.

Sarcasm makes for poor cover of a thinly veiled personal attack.

Personal attacks are not acceptable.

There's a GTX550 now?

You're asking people to vote about something that doesn't exist, and where it does speculatively exist in your head, you've decided it's a card that does beat an HD6850 by definition of what it is...

"A GTX550 is an overclocked GTX460, does it beat an HD6850?".
Of course it does.

It would be like me saying "Does an HD6970 clocked fast enough to beat a GTX580 beat a GTX580?". Of course it does, I just stated that as a fact.

The 6970 will be slower than my 470.

At least that's my hope. Maybe I will just stick to the rule of not looking at benchmarks/hot deals for 1 year.

I think its preety much a given that the gtx550 will be a gtx 460 in a gf114 package. Just a higher clocked gtx460, which will beat a 6850.

Its also very easy to guess the gtx560 (full gf114 core) will be clocked a little high to take down a 6870.

Nvidia has the advantage of comming out second with these 2 cards and will win the most important slot, the midrange easily.

If the gtx570 beats a 6950 ,I'd exspect the gtx dual card to beat the 6990 or be very very close. Nvidia seems to have improved there sli scaling with the gtx 5xxx series.

Don't derail your own thread :)

Without knowing the specs of some of these yet to be released cards it's kinda hard to make a logical voting choice at this time. Being able to vote for all of the above would be the easy way out....Or the polite way of saying who cares I guess.

The data from the pole is interesting I must say tho!

Winning/losing benchmarks has to be relative to an actual application/Game.

No 1 card (in one particular price point) is better at EVERYTHING. They all do better/worse in different games.

What specs do you need? I'd be willing to bet I get everyone spot on.
I'm not too sure about the dual cards is all, because of the downclocking and power saving stuff.

We have the specs for the gtx 580,570,560>(full gf104 with higher clocks), 550>(this one is a very good guess gtx460 overclocked, one disabled part of a gtx560).

Take card A that wins 7 out of 10 benches from card B from the same performance tier, which card is faster?
See how easy that is?

I am still confused. Isn't the topic title wrong? Nvidia has the 500 series, not 5000 series, or am I missing something?

Its funny how quiet this forum is? No one dares to speculate? Guess, nothing?
Just attack the messenger and topic, and grammar?

Knowone challenges my original post?
