Seriously, why the hate on Apple's OS? It's more stable and much faster than Windows, Quartz Extreme looks awesome, and you can run it on a 400mhz processor with no difficulty. The same cannot be said for WinXP.

I have had a 3G 10GB ipod for the past year and a half. Does what I need it to do. If I were in the market for one now, the Rio Karma would be the one I would get. The only thing I've heard bad about it is that there is only a 90 day warranty. I only wish the Ipod had gapless playback, then it would be perfect.
I love my iPod mini, but I'll admit there are better MP3 players for the same cost. iPods are the only MP3 players girls recognize, so that's good enough for me
the ipod doesn't suck, but it's overrrated. all these damn idiots walking around with them just because of the "cool" silhouette commercials.

He owns an Ipod now...quite ironic, though it was a gift. Yes, there is better out there but I don't hate it with the kind of passion that gurck does.

I think the problem here is that a "geeky" toy has gone mainstream. The main reason I got my first MP3 player, the Rio 500, was because it had skip-free playback and it was the size of a pack of cards, not because a commercial told me it was cool. I don't care that the Ipod is popular, but it reminds me of people hating a band for selling out. :roll:
Fast my ass, if anyone is brainwashed its you. You are sadly mistaken thinking that mac os X runs fast on anything. After reading anands article I feel like I can finally breath and be able to prove why the suck.
And its CRAPPY! Because you have to use thier very unstable software which will likely destroy all the songs you have on there! Infact I have a friend who is currently having problems with this stupid Ipod. You know you have a good MP3 player when you can access it like a drive and just be able to drop files on to there with out any special software. That way you know if its REALLY there or not.
You dont use a Mac. You cant say they suck. You cant say they are slow. You cant bash a product you dont use, period. Relying on reviews to make your decisions is not the way to go. Even Newegg.com says that. And Anand didnt make the Mac seem terrible. You are the one trying so hard to make it look bad.
That's cuz you're running Windoze. Running ANY software on an unstable system itself will be unstable and problematic. Run MacOS X and your problems will go away.

Or you could just STOP USING the unstable Itunes software... Windows is unreliable because
1. Poorly programmed software which is due to such a huge abundance of programmers out there for windows.
2. Cheap hardware with bad drivers or one of each
3. stupid users who don't know what they are doing
4. spyware which agian can be attributed to stupid users.
How do you know I don't use a mac? Have I given you extensive proof that I don't use a mac? How do you know I don't use one every day? How do you know that I don't have one in my room!? You don't, so don't make moronic statements like that because they are just that, moronic.
Your posts are prove you dont use a Mac. You use moronic statements to make the Mac look bad by saying "Windows is organized because we have a start menu. Mac desktops will get crowded with shortcuts and the dock isnt organized. Macs are slower than Pentium ll's. The G5 needed 4 gigs of RAM for a smooth ride. I dont want to have to dig through my HDD to find the app I want."

I have had problems with apple ever since I've used an Apple II and that REALLY says something. I've never liked them and felt I was rewarded every time I went home to use my (in your language PEEEEEECCEEEEE). I've never liked them, every time apple released an overpriced product that "art enthusiests" or any one bought I cringed thinking how pathedic it is people would buy these hunks of crap. It's one thing for you to accept the fact that there are things about the mac that it JUST DOES NOT HAVE but you decide to fight it and shove YOUR ideas down my throat and say DO IT. It may be simple for you to live with out something the PC can do but the mac can't but I CAN'T. There is no motivation for me to switch to a mac and frankly I don't see it for others.
