You don't really think that premium jeans cost more than a dollar more to make than levis, do you??

The difference is all marketing and price.

Please correct me if I'm wrong; as I started this post, I'm confused

premium jeans are nothing like Wrangler or Levis....the expensive jeans are the ones you can wear out to fancier places etc

offer discount for ATOTers?

I'll probably give away a few freebies or sell for close to cost. Remember, we are making women's jeans first. Men's is a big maybe.

I'm always looking for good jeans, low-rise and 31-32" inseam a plus (I am petite and hate hemming 33-34" inseam jeans!). I have spent $10-200+ on one pair of jeans, and have found that my favorites all have a bit of stretch to them. Juicy Couture, Dollhouse, Seven, and Joie seem to fit me best, Blue Cult and regular designer brands (i.e. Calvin Klein, Ralph Lauren, Donna Karen, etc.) not as well.

If you need anyone to try them out for you, let me know. :)

Yup, we know this ;) we made sure to have a bit of stretch in them. We won't have the wide range of sizing as big boys. We made sure fit to be our #1 priority and design #2.

I'll PM you and send you a pair once we get our container. But before we order we need a good name for the label!

Fantastic, I appreciate the gesture and will be sure to provide you with plenty of feedback about the fit, design, etc. I am 5'3" and like jeans that I can wear with heels or sneakers, versatility is key (dress up with a fancy top for a night out, dress down with a t-shirt for the beach).

Will you have a "signature design/logo" on one of the back pockets (a'la Seven, etc.)? I'm personally not a huge fan of those, but if they aren't too obnoxious that's fine. When I purchase jeans, I buy them for the fit - will you have boot cut, skinny jeans (all the rage now, but I don't predict the trend will last longer than a season or two), slim leg, etc.?

If they make my butt look good and my legs look long, I'm sold. As for a name, perhaps:

H2O jeans
Lipstick jeans
Pearl/Gem jeans
A combination of a color + [name] jeans (a'la Blue Cult, etc.)

Yes we will. It will be low key and non-ostentatious. Our prelim sample orders included both boot cut and skinny.

What does "Socket A" signify?

That can be left up to the imagination... :D (something about a hot core, a pin mod, being unlocked, etc...)

I still like my first idea though, Nef Jeans.

I'm not going there. Use your imagination. No matter what you go with, it sounds like you have a chance to be really creative here. That's why I don't care for names like Traffic or Rush Hour - I think of movies. I'm just saying try to go with something original.

Ha, call the womans line Socket A and the guys line CPU. It can be can signify the woman herself as a socket and the guy is looking to pop his cpu into her socket and make a little heatsink ;)
Dont forget to use the right ammout of thermal grease :D

And just checking to see if you have ever stepped into a walmart or target before? People dont shop there to buy $25-$80 pair of jeans. They shop there the buy dirt cheap and since they dont have $200 jeans there they wont see the bargin your trying to make if they bought your line.

I shop at Target, and the jeans that I buy are usually about $25 to $30. I'd totally pay $35 for a pair of Nef's, though :)

I've never spent more than $30 on jeans. Last time I bought jeans was two years ago. Two pair. Still have those, and they are my only jeans. Probably last a few more years at least.

I don't actually spend very much money on clothes.

While I pretty much never spend more than $10 on a pair of jeans, here are some comments on your names.

Traffic - makes me think of the movie
Rush Hour - ditto
Borderline - makes me think of borderline personality disorder
Stacked - yeah, I think it's obvious
Launch - boring
Plastered - uhh... really lame
Dare/Daring - boring
Stiletto - the shoe?!
Foil - ehh... maybe
Stain - Staind
Sinister - dumb
SiniSTAR - really dumb
Natural or Naturale - maybe Natural... still pretty boring
Socket A - WTF?
Prestige - dumb
Vantage - dumb
Broken - DUMB
Vertigo - movie
Fly - super dumb
Gossip - dumb
Powder - okay... also a movie incidentally

The one I liked best was one you removed - "Vero" I believe. It's short and catchy, considering I still remember it just from browsing through the names the other day.

I'll buck the trend and say that I am one of those people that buy $200 jeans...I've voiced my opinion multiple times on people finding it so shocking and appalling and I still don't understand.

That said, I'd love to try a few pairs of your jeans if it all goes through...if it fits and looks good, it fits and looks good :) Good luck!

I buy Kirkland jeans at Costco for my work jeans, and for "nicer" wear, I get my jeans from Land's End for about $40. No possible way a pair of denim pants could be worth $200. I don't care if they are Jenna Haze brand, complete with a scratch-n-sniff patch, they're still just jeans...

Agreed. Stylish jeans, and having the right pair for the outfit can make all the difference. I rotated out winter clothes for summer clothes in one of my walk ins the other day. 17 pairs of jeans. :Q

I wear Paper Denims.. I wanted to get a pair of True Religions but i'm not at the point of my life where I can spend $200+ for jeans. That said, girls notice what you wear and i've gotten many compliments on my jeans.

I hope all goes well with your business!

You can wear crap and still pick up women. Women are more about confidence and charm. You can spend your whole life going, "but I'm wearing an Armani shirt! Why's she going home with HIM?"

Attractive gay men are FAR more difficult to impress. And the god damn trends change every 2 weeks. :|
