I hope all goes well with your business!

You can wear crap and still pick up women. Women are more about confidence and charm. You can spend your whole life going, "but I'm wearing an Armani shirt! Why's she going home with HIM?"

Attractive gay men are FAR more difficult to impress. And the god damn trends change every 2 weeks. :|

So what are Gay men about?

Perfect bodies and stylish clothes. Confidence, comedy, etc are all far down the list. Basically as long as you're in shape and dressed well, you can be a big psycho and get along fine.

He wants to strike in the middle if I read the OP correctly. Separate himself from $30-70 jeans, but steal sales from more "prestigious" labels undercutting them by $75-100. Which leads me to another cool name: Prestige

Much like the 227 people who bought the $99 iPod shuffle, vs the 3.8 million who bought a $350 ipod... :)

The shuffle sucked. No jeans have LCDs, so your point is moot :p[/quote]

Hmm, you're right. No jeans have LCDs..... yet!

Would something like a small handprint be too ostentatious? Smack/Smacked; Blue Jeans; Blew Jeans? Sorry if this all sucks. I worked all night long and I'm really tired. :) Oh yeah, if you use my ideas, can I get a couple hundred thousand bucks? Gotta pay for school, house, car, etc. Thanks.

I'm sorry, and this has probably been said, but the reason jean companies make so much is BECAUSE they charge so much. Anyone could make a good pair of jeans, that's the EASY part. The hard part is getting the "cool factor", which requires celebrity endorsement or something similar. It's just how the fashion market is these days. There are plenty of cheap imitation "designer" jeans, but they sell at places like Target because of the fact that they are cheap. Not that you can't make a lot of money by selling clothes through a store like target, it's just a different target audience, and they have semi big names doing their lines already.

Stacked is no good because women with less...assests...may not want to purchase the jeans in fear of being rediculed. Traffic sounds good, does it stand for something, but what company name really does anymore? And, do you have any designs of these current jeans -- and are you looking for any help...I'm very interested in the fashion industry and I can say for myself that I dress very well and know what looks good on certain people/everyone. Let me know! Thanks.

Yes, we have designs ready to go. We just need a label and possible back pocket stitch signature idea for the future. Maybe I'll have like a contest for a t-shirt or jean design on ATOT later.

meh, back pocket stitch? every pair of jeans from the $5 - $300 mark carries that signature.

You want to be truly revolutionary, do something identifiable, start a trend. Go from nothing to everything overnight when one celeb takes a liking to a pair of your jeans. Make it happen in a big way. i'm sure you realize this, but there are already plenty of diesel/emporio/saints/etcetcetc imitators (if they can be called such, they're legitimate brands, but they literally mimic the big designers' trends to the season) out there, especially from overseas retailers. if your plan is to do it big in the states, it's going to take originality more than a pricepoint, because there's plenty of solid labels already marketing to the demographic you're looking at. being yet another copycat is the grand plan?

with some skillful marketing and a carefully selected target consumer base, you definitely might succeed. But walk through any macy's, hell even marshall's, and you'll see how much of a hit/markdown many brands have had to take simply because they couldn't push their product.

but yep, we know yours will be different :)

Like Forever 21? We know the owners of Forever 21. Very very rich. Caused a lot of people to go broke in the process too.

ATOT should create an over/under pool on first year revenue (since release of first line).

Yes... really mature reply you have there... I was being sincere, as I probably have more experience in the industry than you do. If not, cheers to you and good luck with the line. I didn't say one negative thing about what you're trying to do, I'm just stating the truth.

I wasn't asking for a critique. I was asking for ideas for the label name. So go away if you don't have any ideas.

Your reply time is sickening... Good luck with whatever you do in the future, and I wouldn't use stacked fyi because the Pam Anderson thing cheapens it. I'd go with something industrial sounding, you had a few of those in the OP I believe.
