Another head scratcher, the Armenian Khachkar memorial in Colorado was vandalized with the graffiti “cops are the evil” on the ground adjacent to it.
The size/weight isn't what makes it ridiculous. After all, people are seriously proposing to take down Mount Rushmore and Stone Mountain, and you don't even need to take something down to vandalize it.Lol....Christ the Redeemer is 125 feet tall, and weighs 625 tons. It's not the statue itself he's trying to protect. He's projecting that the image of Christ that will be the next to be "torn down" by this "mob of criminals"

Can't wait for all those statues to come down. The sun will shine bright and all the currently impoverished and violent plagued areas will be turned into blissful utopias.the concern is strong, dave. perhaps if someone made a monument to vinegar you'd feel otherwise?

Sounds good. None of those on the surface seem terrible. There was a story on NPR today about a Lincoln statue that depicted slaves pretty poorly that is being requested to be taken down. Not because it's Lincoln but the way slaves were depicted.7-1-2020
The Cancel Culture is just beginning.
The next wave of statue removals is afoot. See where they're being taken down across the U.S.

You mean the one that freed slaves paid for that shows a slave with his chains broken standing up for the first time as a free man? The one that keeps getting misconstrued by morons to be a slave that is lower or bowing to Lincoln?Sounds good. None of those on the surface seem terrible. Governor of Indiana changing the name of the State since it is offensive.
===================================================================
The question came amid a national debate to rebrand sports teams and other entities with Native American associations.
Governor Holcomb added that he’s directed his administration to investigate “how we can do a better job sharing the story of Indiana.”
“Sharing the story of who we are as a people, a very diverse people, and to be able to celebrate our successes, to be able to acknowledge our shortcomings, and deal with them.”
“I’ll look to speak more about this in the near future,” Holcomb added.
Indiana was named by Congress in 1800 and means “Land of the Indians” or “Indian land,” an acknowledgment of the indigenous tribes who lived in the area prior to European and American settlement.
Sculpture of Melania Trump in her Slovenian hometown burned by vandals on July 4
A wooden sculpture of First Lady Melania Trump in her Slovenian hometown was burned by vandals on the Fourth of July, CNN and Reuters report.www.10news.com
Supposedly a sculpture of Melania Trump was burned by vandals in her hometown on July 4th, but it looks like a pinata or papier-mâché effigy that was intended to be burned/destroyed.
Can you really call them "vandals" in that case? Maybe it was whittled out of wood, but it certainly doesn't look like it was ever intended to honor anyone.
Oh boy. Staring you right in the face. Never noticed. In a sense it was accurate once, except Indian is a pejorative really.7-9-2020

It was Trump who started the cancel culture.....I like how the term cancel culture makes it easy to identify fools in the room or people using deceptive language to hide the fact they are an asshole.
Thanks GOP
