so how you guys who ordered this game like it so far?
awesome, and I had my doubts. Seems like Silent Hill meets Resident Evil 5 meets Dead Space.

Apparently Remedy shared much of the pro-pc sentiment. There a QR code in Alan's apartment that scans to: "Huh. Turns out this isn't too bad even if you're not sitting on a couch when you play it. Who knew!"
It's interesting so far. It's main problem seems to be that it's writers are writing about a writer writing, while referencing other writers. Feels a bit like literary masturbation.
I just got this and want to start playing, but there is no SLI profile for the game, so it is murdering a single 480 badly and giving me 25-30fps.![]()

With what CPU? I'm playing it with a 480 at max settings with no issues? The graphics while good, are not GREAT. The atmosphere is really good though. I think my favorite thing was the TV parodies and the "taken" dialog.
Remedy didn't, it was MS that shafted PC gamers back when this was first released by making it a 360 exclusive. They had the publishing rights at the time. Remedy is publishing the PC version themselves on Steam so buying it now means you are supporting them and not M$. That alone was reason enough for me to purchase the PC version even though i've already played it on the 360. But at least now i'll be able to play through the DLC in high res with a KB/M setup.. Yes, please.
He does have a 30" 2560x1600 monitor. I'm gaming at 1920x1080 (a HDTV actually which I use for everything).
I can imagine double the pixels would tax a single GTX480 - I'm probably around 40-50 FPS with the game, so his a bit faster GTX480 would fit just right at 25-30FPS at his res.
Let's hope SLi gets support fast, as the game is really fun![]()
What I find amazing is near-zero loading times. And it's not even on my SSD... It runs super smooth on my not-the-newest PC (my GPU has 2 years, CPU has almost 4 years :awe. A lot of polish and optimization went into creating this game

As for Microsoft - the only logo that shows up in the game is Remedy's - for like 3 seconds when you launch the game. Then you're immediately taken to the main menu. Also Steam says Developer and Publisher is Remedy.
The only reference to MS I noticed is an Xbox at one point standing on a table with a game next to itI vaguely remember it was there on the console version though.
They waited 2 years to bring it to the PC so they won't mind me waiting until it's $5 to buy it.
This is a really good game. Graphics are nicely done, gameplay is decent if a bit repetitive, but the story is enjoyable and the atmosphere nice and spooky.
Is this confirmed?
MS gets no money from the pc version of this game?
