If SCOTUS overturns Roe I predict a bloodbath in the Senate for Republicans. It would be exactly what the Democrats need to push them over the top to retake it.

And so while the overturn of Roe would be a shameful act that would harm thousands or even millions of women it would have quite a silver lining as that would likely mean a Democratic trifecta in government - they could eliminate the filibuster and go to TOWN. (including even packing the court to re-legalize abortion)

Why not pass a law?

Yea, it's just funny to see conservatives change their beat when the new tune comes out

It is kind of funny that when McConnell uses the powers of Congress to deny Obama the ability to appoint a justice that conservatives are fine with it but when liberals talk about using the powers of Congress to add justices that’s somehow a coup or whatever.

Who knows it if will happen but it it does conservatives have simply reaped what they have sown.

Why not just leave women to make their own choices?

Because a human life is on the line, at stake in these proceedings. Humans have no right to murder the innocent. And at some point between conception and birth it is barbaric to murder a viable child.

A law would explicitly name and protect abortion. The Constitution does not.

But the Constitution doesn't need to explicitly name a right to protect it. That's the whole point of the 9th amendment.

It would be a pretty insane world to live in where the right to control your own body wasn't an implicitly accepted one.

Something something not enumerated something something.

Also, abortion is a philosophy debate, not a medical one. For medical purposes it needs to exist to save lives.

If a "human life" is on the line, let her take it out and put it on the ground.

Otherwise, it's just a parasite.

Humans don't need to leech in order to live.
