This all reminds of of the second Highlander movie where taking down the shield will kill us all! or in Total Recall...starting the O2 Generator will kill us all!!!

What THEY fail at is that I don't disagree with a clean environment or reducing pollution...but destroying the economy or implementing fascist regimes in the name of AGW is nothing put pure EVIL.

And what YOU fail at is that this is not a conversation about the efficacy of various proposed solutions (some of which are certainly fairer than others) but the phenomenon itself. If you don't like the proposed solutions the answer is not to piss on the scientists who are just looking for answers.

I don't defend the behavior of politicians or policy hacks that jet around the world - I'm talking about the science involved. This is not a thread about carbon credits, trading, treaties or ANYTHING POLICY RELATED. Every time you try to change the subject you just make yourself look like an idiot. If your opinions are that weak and unsupportable, maybe it's time to re-examine them.

This crap of discrediting whole groups of scientists as liars and charlatans started with the religious nuts attacking the evidence accumulated from maybe a score of scientific fields verifying and explaining evolution (and I know these people are full of shit). It seems that many of the same people that thought this was OK are doing the same for climate research.

There have been instances of such behavior in rare and isolated instances, and these people have been rewarded with loss of professional stature, future employment, and classification as assholes in the footnotes of history. Such a fate has been pretty universal for these people. To believe that a huge number of scientists have suddenly decided to follow the same path sounds absurd to me.

Why don't you stop with the personal attacks and grow up a little bit. Based on the thread you should be able to infer i am talking about climatology and global warming. Plus the mods around here don't like new threads being started over the same topic...this topic is global warming....
