Well those are the numbers I got a while back when I played COD2.... Maybe I was on crack at the time, heck I even commented to my cousin about the performance and I could not believe it myself.... I do not even remember what drivers I was using at the time. Maybe 5.9 or so.... I will reinstall the game and revert the drivers again and see what happens...

I got 57.52 with the 7800gs. Weird I lost 2 fps going from 1280x 1024 to 1600x1200

I want to see proof and your settings.... P4 @ 3.35GHz and 533MHz FSB is not what I call fast.....

How do I make a picture ....I have no reason to lie.

My setting are in High quality mode.
The rest are the same as Stumps .

The only thing I can think of is mabe aa don't work with HDR with nvidia? I heard something on this before.

Edt: I could overclock my cpu and Gpu more if you want?
I can run games at 3.45 cpu, 505, 1500 gpu.

strange thing i've found also with that loast cost bench, is the numbers vary. The first run number are fairly high, but as I ran in again and again they changed. Now i'm not able to break 63fps with the same settings I did 78fps at.

They vary, but not that much... 7.2 might have something to do with that... Try 6.6 or back to 7.1...

Ok I ran at 3.45 cpu ,GPU 502 core, 1480 mem= 63.76 fps
1600x1200 I ran it in 6x aa 16 af. All settings high, reflect all .

In nvidia controll panel, high quality with aa/af controlled by application.
No advanced settings touched.

My score is higher now because my GPU wasn't overclocked before.
I changed the driver back to 81.21(I think) and forgot to overclock it again

Edit: does nvidia have an advantage with this game?

Thats is really strange. Benchmarks DO vary, but not that much... That sucks that the X1950 does not support older drivers.... Some of those older drivers were the best. At least for the X8x0 series.... And that is from personal experience.

Keep trying...

Any card with SM3.0 would have an advantage in this game, but ATI cards are better with the HL engine than Nvidia. Now That might be why your systems score similarly to mine and also AA and HDR with Nvidia, is it working? If not then it will give you an advantage..

Are you talking about a new card or your PC benchmarks?
Wake up man, talk about something new one.

LMAO!! You mean got brain?? loll

Watching the performance numbers of the X1950PRO, 7800GS and the X850XT PE shows something about Performance per Watt ratio. I have to admit that the performance increase of the X8X0 series over it's predecessors while keeping the same power comsumption was a great move, now you buy for example a X1950PRO and the performance increase is about 30% average but the power comsumption is double, and even worse if you move from there to a 8800GTX, I hope to see increase in performances in the future without requiring a power brick alone for the videocards or a nuclear reactor to feed only your PC, a great feat that Intel and AMD had done with it's currently line of CPU's, low power and excellent IPC.

I really do hope that future GPU consume alot less power than they are consuming right now. I am lucky that my overall system does not consume much power thanks to the Pentium M. I think GPU should be designed with power consuption in mind, but that is not in the agenda anytime soon..

ok so been messing with that benchmark for awhile now, I was never able to recreate that high score I got first run for whatever reason. so we can just throw it out for now.

Looking at the numbers I couldn't figure out why there was a difference.

But I just redid the test at the resolution u guys were using and not my native LCD res.

If you are looking at performance per watt then Nvidia's 7900 GT fits that bill quite nicely. as it is less power hungry then the above listed cards, the 7950 GT is in the same realm actually as the above listed models at around Low to Mid 60's in wattage.

The 8800 GTX probably has equal or lower performance per watt as it is on the same 90nm process.

Now that looks good..... for the resolution.... Yay restored my hope that I might get 80+ FPS with a X1950Pro or even better with a XT..... Well see..... Now I need them to make a X1950XT 512MB.... I will be happy for another 6-12 Month or so....

once I replace the stock cooler on this card, i'll do some overclocking won't be a problem breaking 80fps. But ya if we ever see a AGP X1950XT should be a sweet card, I just hope they would make a 512mb version and not just 256. The extra Vram does help.

Cool. I wonder though, will this "force" nVidia to support nforce 2/3 chipset for Vista?
