kudos to Hill but he should've just killed the deadbeat. now the taxpayers will have to pay for his hospital bills.

What happened to forgiveness? No matter how severe the sin, there is always room to forgive.

When you show compassion for the assailant, you show contempt for the victim.

Afrackingmen. Nothing happened to that ROBBER that he didn't volunteer for, while this poor old man was brutally attacked in the privacy of his own home.

Again, what happened to forgiveness? Its not always easy to forgive.

What makes you think the old timer didn't forgive his stupid, sorry ass? Based on Mr. Hill's actions and other folks I know from that generation, I'll bet the old guy HAS forgiven the little punk-ass, which is more than he deserves.

There was only a single person in that home with malice in their heart, and it sure as hell wasn't the guy resting in his bedroom.

What, you don't think he has Blue Cross?

I wonder if the state of Louisiana is going to end up stuck with a good chunk of his medical care while he's laying in the ICU here.

Reminds me of the similar story where the old guy beat up three other wussy teenagers.

who said he didn't forgive the guy? thats for after everything is done anyway.

when the guy is trying to kill you it is a time to defend yourself. with deadly force if necessary.

I'm sorry but I can never forgive a man that breaks into a home and punches a 93 year old man in the face 50 times. You are out of your fucking mind if you forgive him.

Hopefully if they kept the items in question as evidence, they at least gave the guy his two hearing aides back.

what kind of animal hits a 93 yr old man 50 times to steal hearing aides ? Too bad the old guy missed!!!

I don't know for sure, but this was probably the actions of a meth addict. There have been a couple of cases around here where meth junkies robbed and killed older people for drug money.

Meth addicts are basically zombies. Shoot for the head.

proper use with discretion of a home-defense firearm

concerning forgiveness, he didn't shoot the robber repeatedly to kill, did he?

if someone were charging at me, I'd shoot them square in the chest however many times it takes to make them drop (preferably only 1 time, however)

I'm just shocked that so many people here in ATOT are this vengeful to call for the attacker's death.

Next time you have a crazed intruder in your house stealing your hearing aid batteries, feel free to post on how you handled the situation. Hopefully you can convert him to Jesus through the sheer will of your testimony.

Failing that, I hope we get to hear your story at all.

Congrats on winning the Stupid Post of the Day award.

Yep, it is stupid when innocent people die because of misconcealed guns.

which didn`t happen in this post...
So could we say you are trolling???

Isn't it obvious? If he were that stupid he wouldn't be able to power on a PC much less post here.

Always aim center mass. There is a reason police and soldiers are taught this.

At any rate, good for him! Another valid example of why law abiding civilians MUST be allowed to keep and bear arms. And another example of a defensive gun use that did not end in death, so will not be used in the absurd "a gun is more likely to kill a family member than attacker" politically engineered statistic.

Some guy will probably say the guy would have only beeen beaten and the robber not shot if the old guy only took a beating and didn't defend back...

Good on the old guy!

Officers reported finding a set of keys, two hearing aids, a CD player, an MP3 player, a Craftsman drill bit set and three pocket knives inside Williams' pockets.

Bet he was about to make a nice sum off these treasures...LOL

so he can get disability and live on the tax payers legally, no way. I hope he survives with no disability issues and decides to get his shit together.

Yea, and he is going to use tax payers money for his hospital bills and time in prison. Wonderful. There is a much bigger issue here that needs to be addressed.

Who said that? Gun control != no guns  for him grabbing his legal gun ( I assume) and using it wisely.

Forgiveness is not mine to offer - I wasn't directly involved. Forgiveness is between the robber and his victim.

How would you like to be responsible for giving this criminal the opportunity to create more victims? That's what your version of "forgiveness" gets us.
