I saw them last night on the above link. I had a hard time finding the images because they are so subtle.

Everyone else used it as a photo op to been seen at the site for thier own gain.

To Bush it was a blessed event that he grabbed onto - to elevate his failure, and distract the
country, not unite it, but devide the country and the world into a 'Us versus Them'.

it appears kirk has already been beamed up, because he is obviously on another planet.

Exactly. Bush was in hiding on his Airforce 1 pretty much the entire day on 911 and didn't make a visit to New York until several days after 911.

Nope, that's how I remember it too. Kirk is spot on. Perhaps you're one of those historical revisionists I keep hearing about? :)

"Three thousand people were murdered on President Bush's watch," Breitweiser said.
"He has not cooperated with the investigation to find out why that happened."

About sums up the whole situation. I sure as well would be angry when someone takes a outright tragedy like that, and use it for the backdrop of a campaign.

1. 9/11 was a defining moment in his presidency he would be stupid to not "advertise" how he handled it. People that say he didn't handle the attacks well forget his 80%+ approval ratings in teh months following the attacks.

2. If he didn't use it... Democrats would use that against him saying "why is he hiding or not talking about the defining moment in his presidency? HE KNEW ABOUT THE ATTACKS!"

3. I am sorry that people lost loved ones in that attack but if this commercial trully bothered them then they need to seek counseling and get over it (not the death of a loved ones, I am talking about the commercial). I suspect this is just democrats taking a chance to complain about GWB.

To Bush it was a blessed event

Anyone that would say something like that is one sick puppy, I wouldn't even say that about Clinton,

Funny thing is, if his ads made no mention of it, there'd be another batch of folks complaining how he doesn't care about 9/11 anymore...

Probably not, but anyway, perhaps Bush should stand in front of a bombed-out Israeli public bus and claim he "fixed" the Palestinian-Israeli problem too?

Yes, because if he had flown directly to NY he would have been so helpful

there is a BIG difference between exploiting 9/11 and talking about his leadership role after 9/11. First of all I don't see how any other president would've acted different but no doubt he had good leadership and he promised that 9/11 would not be exploited.

now if he just talked about 9/11 on the ads without showing the images of the aftermath then it'd be okay with me. I still don't understand the blind support for a stupid person. again, i don't hate republicans. what has bush done for the conservative cause besides trying to ban gay marriage? he's spending like a drunken democrat. I thought republicans stood for financial responsibility? I don't see that happening with republicans controlling all branches of the government.

bush is a liar, if not worse than gore. I can name a handful of republicans that are much smarter and more qualified than bush to run for president but nooooo we have to support bush because he is a good leader, please. at least bill frist is smart enough to be a heartsurgeon. bush? ha.

Bush campaign defends ads
But Jennie Farrell, who's brother, electrician James Cartier, was killed in the attacks told the New York Daily News that the ad was "tastefully done," and said "It speaks to the truth of the times."

I think what everyone needs to know the PROPER heading for the original posted story should have read "We have found some 9/11 Victims' Kin Angered by Bush Ads". As always, leave it to them to twist how EVERYONE hates Bush. NO Iraqi's want the US there and that Everyone is unemployed.

Bush is being attacked by the left for the Patriot Act, going to Iraq, big defense spending, civil rights at Guantanamo, etc., etc.
He is being challenged by someone who voted to cut CIA funding and defense spending.

There is nothing wrong with him reminding us of what happened on 9/11.
The attacks of 9/11 are the main reason he has done much of what he has done.

EDIT: Yeah, I'd also like to know how many of the victims families share this viewpoint. They quote a few people, then make it sound like everyone feels the same way.

Yep I have a Major problem with him lying to us about vast stockpiles of WMDs in Iraq, alleged direct ties with Al Qaeda and Iraq's advanced Nuclear Weapons program. If he would have just told the truth and let us decide on his pre-determined intentions of invading Iraq then at least I couldn't say he lied to us! If, like many of his apologists say, he only used the dodgy intel he had to promote his pre-determined invasion of Irag then he is guilty of gross incompetence!

Only if Kerry has ads with photos of all the torture victims of Saddam with narration that says "Hey, this guy would still be in power if I had my way."

does the pic in the article for some reason remind you of "1984! 1984!" with his right handed "sig heil"?! there was another picture last year of him doing that with him standing infront of a giant eagle and a bunch of american flags.

also i was watching CNN yesterday and found it odd that after he shook the hand of a black speaker he patted him on the head like a little boy (they are the same height) in his CA fundraising campaign. anybody else find that odd?

And your default pre-programmed I-hate-Bush responses are boring and repetitive. Like I said, you missed the point and just wanted to make another comment about Bush. When you're as narrow minded as you and desperate as ever to get in another anti-Bush comment, then you'll miss the point of most things in your life.

Its pretty fvcking simple why it happened. In the 7+ years from the WTC attack to 2000. Clinton did nothing. We had 5 attacks on american soil. Clinton did nothing, except gut and handcuff the CIA, lob a few missles at Saddam, and blow up a couple Asprin factories.

Anyone trying to blame Bush for 9/11 SHOULD BE CONDEMING Clinton.

When the history books are written 50-100 years from now, they wont look to highly upon Clinton. Bush wont be seen in much of a favorable light either, but likely better than Clinton.

Clinton was the president of the US. The leader of the free world. He should have SERIOUSLY gone after Bin Laden and Al Qieda during his two terms. Why were over 100 american lives overlooked? Why did it take ~2900?

Well I believed Bushes BS about the WMD's and the rest of those lies enough to support his Excellent Adventure into Iraq! Don't you think I have a right to be pissed at the Dub for lying to me? Hey you can forgive him for that, it's your perogati8ve, but as far as I am concerned it was probably one of the most underhanded manipulations of the American Public that I can remember and I was around during the Nixon years!
