well, congrats on the bonus. I think my bonus was that I get to stay in this miserable little situation until I can find a way out. (work, I mean) 🙁

Of course with that much wealth, you can afford a non-ghetto pic now.

LOL, thanks... good point, I'll look into upgrading. 🙂

Would I be gloating too much if I said my bonus will probably be around the $15000 mark this year (early March)?

A little late for year end?

A lot of companies do bonus in February...you have to make in through January to recieve. My ex-company used to work everyone majorly end-of-year (bonus pool was a direct percentage of end-of-year profits) and then do mass firings in January around the 31st. If you were not an employee on Feb. 1st you forfeited bonus. Bonuses were tiered however, after about the second level you were at around 50% of salary. The highest tier was bonused at 200%, there were 3 or 4 tiers higher that were private, the company worked on a max salary system of $150k, however the president was reported in the paper one year at $3million in pay/bonus/options with a base pay of that $150k.

Whoo hoo, bonus!! 😀

Did anyone else get a year-end bonus?

This is my very first, and I'm pretty excited about it... I hope it's enough to give my car an oil change/40,000 mile tuneup/new battery/new alternator/new airbag/new horn. *crosses fingers*

🙂

new airbag? hopefully that is the passenger's airbag? what's wrong with the airbag?

Too bad you're not in Seattle... I'd do it for ya! Shouldn't be a problem getting those things done... except the new airbag. Airbag service is usually very expensive! I just replaced the alternator on my '87 prelude... $248,000 miles and climbing fast! You're only at 40,000 and you need a new alternator and battery?? That just doesn't seem right. Congrats none the less!

Dezign,

you need to find someone that does a little auto work on the side & save some $.

Don't I know if. If you have any hookups, feel free to share. 😀

Any man with half a brain and two working hands should be able to replace an altenator and a battery. Don't let a shop charge you $150+ for changing it when it's so simple. I changed my altenator for my first time in about 30 minutes. After it went out again it took me 15 minutes. And my batter took a grand total of 10 minutes to swap out. Heck if I lived closer I'd do it for free....except I would require fresh chocolate chip cookies.

crap...that much is wrong with the clunker?

Yes, the salvage has significantly less reliable as of late. 🙁 I've already used up my 4 yearly AAA roadside assistance calls for jumps, tows, etc. *sigh*

:Q its only the end of january!!

Driver's seat airbag. I thought the SRS light that came on was just an electrical glitch, but it turns out my airbag really is broken/dysfunctional.

What year/make/model is your car?

2001 / Honda / Civic LX Coupe

Salvage... been in 2 major accidents. 🙁 Currently at 40,000 miles and climbing.

Nice car until I read the SALAVE.

I will NEVER EVER buy a salvage titled car again.
