Thugs don't u think that upping the core voltage by 0.22v (1,5-->1.72) is too much for the cpu? Aren't u worried? What is the max limit your ASUS gives u?

Up 0.2v is not really that bad because there are many o/cer out there who did a wire trick to get 0.4v...what this wire trick does is that it give you 0.2v more to your default voltage...so you can overclock it even more...but i don't suggest doing this unless you have a good cooler and AC3...I myself is waiting for AC3 and a not bended TT volcano 7+

dbal 1.72v is just fine by me. my temps are very low, i aint worried. the board goes upto 1.775v max.

SupermanCK actually there are 4 different wire tricks - 1.7v, 1.75v, 1.8v 1.85v. the 1.7v and 1.85v are the easier ones to do.

:D

anyone have any info on Turbo1 or Turbo2 settings?

i haven't done any mem test yet @ 150fsb...i might as well tonight...anyone know how long does Memtest 2.9 test takes?

Hhhmmmmm......Running Prime95 for 6 hours already without a hinch @166FSB at this temp? This is reaaaaaaaally good scoring Rook! Congrats!

P.S: If it reaches 12+ hours shut it down. We don't need more evidence! ;)

i dont think i have enough voltage left to make 170fsb THIS stable.
i might go for 167fsb & 168fsb, but for now im just going to enjoy it :)

BTW: i am running Turbo1 mode - but i still have no clue as to what it does :Q
...its nothing to do with memory cause sandra scores dont go up.

hmmm, im doubting it locks AGP - that means it would drop me from 88mhz to 72mhz.
but my gaming benchmarks go up?
that doesnt make sense, they should drop with the mhz.
i do believe that it locks the PCI tho.

This thread=EVIL!!!

Here I am trying to lead a nice peaceful 1 Ghz T-bird into prime T-bred season and you start this thread. Now i'm try to convince myself I don't NEED one of these.(yeah right)

Now, I was already aware that the 1.6A OC'd very well, but somehow this thread makes it seem so much better. Hence EVIL

BTW, congrats on the killer system! :D

So it gave an error @9.5 hours? Don't worry rook-it reminds me of my case but it proved very stable so far. After all 9 hour successful run is already a very good score! ;)

* not even a high dollar HSF!

thx again for everyones interest and support :D
