Doh. Election official. 62,000 voted count released. But we have another 400,000 left to count. 290,000 came in just before closing polls > _ <

These are still primarily votes by mail, correct?

BTW if Republicans do take the House it doesn't matter if it's by a margin of 1 or 10. They have the gavel which essentially means they run the committee's and more importantly means they'll have subpoena power.

They are going to wreak havoc.

There will be sham investigations into all their cartoon villains on the Dem side of the house and no doubt Biden will be impeached at some point.

Jim Jordan is going to have a prominent roll in all this and I'm almost certain we'll see a shutdown of the US government within the first 6 to 9 months so they can try and force their agenda through.

Frankly, I hope they make a circus of the House and Biden doesn't negotiate with these terrorists.

These midterms have shown that Americans even though aren’t happy, they are not interested in the nonsense that MAGA preaches.

Something tells me this red trickle may have smartened them up but I hope not as its in their nature to try and destroy the American middle class.

I hope they inflict as much pain as possible so its repaid at the ballot box in 2024.

Thoughts on this? I know the young vote carried the day but to lose "everyone" over 40...?? Viable long term strategy, obviously youth is great, but will they be reliable voters moving forward?

The young Gen Z has issues that they care about deeply..

abortion rights (they're the ones getting pregnant)
climate change (they're the ones having to move)
gun control (they're the ones getting shot en masse)
marriage equality (they and their friends are the ones who want to marry)
college loan forgiveness (they're the ones stuck with the loans)
child tax credits (they're the ones having majority of kids)
and democracy (actually having a say in things)

Do the Trump tax cuts effect them?
Does critical race theory?
Or does someone being trans or gay?

Sure people change but I don't see the Trumpanzee policies helping them where it truly makes a difference for them.. for now.

Hell who's trying to cancel the student loan debt and take away their rights?

Sorta reminds me of Europe.. the right won because they would give more direct cash out to the people.. so basic religious right wing mixed with socialism in Poland, Sweden, Greece, Italy, Hungary, etc.

That'll never happen here as billionaire tax cuts are more important. That's why Gen Z is being blamed rather than wooed by actual policies. The dems are going about it the right way but Biden should have appealed harder to them.

GenX is the biggest supporter of MAGA. They went from GenX to GenGetOffMyLawn in the last decade.

No. They've always been woo'ed by Reagan and his 12 year rule and aren't quite as open as you'd think.

I remember high school from early 1990s. New York. The people just weren't as open as today. Hell people used to look at gay people as weirdos.

I'd say they're tolerant but NIMBYism exists there. So overall +5-10 republican but certainly not the +20-30 you'd expect from boomers.

Keri Lake on Fox News with Tucker Carlson.
It is apparent that people like Lake and Tucker simply HATE democracy.
Why?
Because, who wins depends on votes and the voters and Keri Lake just hates that prospect, as well does Tucker. You can tell.
Lake claiming she would win, is going to win, period. And when that depends on the "votes" to decide, Lake and Tucker have this pungent look on their face. A look like, votes? We don't need no stinking votes. We just expect to win.

As pungent as the idea of democracy sounds to these MEGA losers, they haven't won yet. Democracy survived most of last nights threats, and the votes will decide the future of Keri Lake. Let her turn up her nose and take on that look of smelling burnt cabbage when the words votes or voters are mentioned, let Keri Lake despise votes and the voters because in the end it will be they and not her and not Donald Trump who will decide the future of Keri Lake.
But one thing is clear, if she does lose she will claim stolen election, and Tucker Carlson will back her up. Trump as well, but we already knew that.

Fox News: Why did Oz lose? Well, according to the exit polls, it's because Fetterman won.

And that folks, is why we watch Fox News. It's for hard hitting analysis like this.

It's also nice of Fox News to explain to their viewers in terms they can understand. Basically first grade math. Pacman eats the bigger number.

Fetterman 2,654,349 > Oz 2,463,290
Fetterman is the bigger number. So Fetterman won.

Still waiting for my vote....

Primary Democrat was write-in and no one voted for any of the write-ins to satisfaction. General Democrat was write-in (different people from primary) and hasn't been processed yet....

Doh Boebort race on hold. Final county with 2000 Election Day votes left closing for the night. But apparently thousands of military ballots to be received. So 10 days left for them.

I wouldn't be so sure of that.
First, they will be a minority majority, and second... shutting down the government over cutting social security WILL NOT PLAY WELL with America.
Someone, and that someone being other house republicans, will have to stop that shit right in its tracks.
And going after Biden, and Merrick, and Hillary AGAIN.... that too will not play out as mega house members might hope. I believe enough "other" house republicans will shut that shit down as well.

These mega house members like Greene and the others could become the AOC's of the republican party. Noisy, an annoyance, but eventually ignored and put in their place BY... other house republicans.
If there were the super majority as they thought they would be in the house, then maybe, but not with a majority of a few, maybe five, they won't be so cocky.
Oh, they'll try, but fail.

In my state, write-ins don't get counted unless the write-in candidate registers as a candidate. It's BS that these votes are ignored.

It is weird in my state, since there is two write-ins:
Black Text write-ins => Achieved write-in status. Sign up needs cash or petition votes.
Green Text write-ins => Brute force write-in status, available to primary but needs to get >10% of the parties vote to get to general, if one person. Sign up is free but unlisted in main GUI system(GUI shows write-in with black text), but appears in the text-only website(text shows brutes as green text).

Green texted write in failed to get in. Black text so far hasn't been counted yet. My candidate passed nomination and got all the petition votes.

Primary:
Name (D) bubble => Withdrawn
Black text => None
Green text => One guy, but he is a weirdo.

General:
Name (D) bubble => none
Black text => Three Dems (two passed nomination, one withdrawn)
Green text => None(not primary)

Re: another Georgia runoff...will Trump tell Republicans to stay home because it's rigged, to boycott, etc?

I've always secretly wondered if Trump was a Democratic psyop agent sent from the future to sabotage the GOP.

i've wondered this as well, but it's an awfully long game. troll the libs enough to win the presidency, expose every flaw in the system and normalize the worst parts of society, and then bring it all crashing down in 8 years? i mean i guess it's possible, but that's one hell of a big-brain, long-game play

My only fear is when GA goes to a runoff how much vote will he pull when/if control of the Senate is in the balance. He's woefully underperforming now but will that hold true if it means the only way to put a road block in front of the Biden admin.

GA runoffs favor the GOP... until 2020. I hope the same holds true.
It's that 3rd party fucker that fucked it all up.

There is no such thing, dumbass.

I mean, GOP leadership only ever spends vastly more than Democrats, predictably, every single fucking time they have power. These are indisputable facts, and yet you never complain then. So kindly fuck off with this tired, disingenuous nonsense.

2 Santa Clause Theory.

The right complains about "tax and spend" Democrats, while ignoring the "borrow and spend like drunken sailors" Republicans who would rather put everything on a "credit card" for future generations to pay.

See above.
2 Santa Clause Theory. It is real.

So all of this GOP introspection about Trump hurting their odds reminds me of the immediate J6 aftermath, in which it seemed like conservatives were ready to free themselves totally of Trump. And then 2 weeks later they were back to singing his praises.

Watch - the same thing will happen again. They just don't know how to quit him.
