That's not clear to me at all. Biden's a man of integrity and he's not going to appoint people for personal reasons, which is all Trump does. He feels, has a conscience, understands others' suffering, can and will be moved and convinced by others. He's not the bucking bronco that Trump is when something isn't going just like he thinks it should.

You....

You sincerely think that Biden stands apart as a politician that is unlike previous? That he is actually for the people - and not for the corporations?

That he is for systemic change and not for what makes donors happy?

I guess I'll take whatever you're smoking.

I haven't been smoking anything. Had 3 ounces of wine around 4 days ago

I heard Biden's speech in L.A. evening of Super Tuesday and was hell of impressed. You're not going to convince me that man is all about pleasing his donors and nothing more.

Can't wait for Joe Biden to enhance the Welfare to Work program. Hard work equals good citizens! No work? Go die in the streets you pathetic non-human.

John Kasich, Bill Clinton, what's not to love about Democrats and Republicans working together to fuck over everyone!

OK, back to the OP. How to watch this convention. This looks promising:

Based on that site, this looks like it might give you what virtually watching delegates are actually going to see/hear:

But Trump is the establishment on steroids. Make the rich richer, play golf while Babylon is burning, he's the poster boy for corruption,
Exactly. Why would replacing lowly public servants in bed with big corporate types be better to be replaced by one of those corporate types?

I think the virtual convention is better than the usual convention. The state roll call was actually genius.
Yeah, I watched the whole thing, that feed that is the same one the delegates watch. So, you get the actual DNC experience! The roll call was great. All these relatively unknown people and a few very well known people (including Bernie) were featured. My congressional rep Barbara Lee, rapping it up for CA and Bernie & Kamala (who was born in my district), really amazing stuff. People telling great stories (briefly), kind of like a meteor shower... rare, lots of unexpected quick events, each very different.

The funny thing is that you could have taken Joe Biden's name out of that speech and replaced it with any of the Democratic front-runners and 99% of it would have still applied.

It looks like the Democrats are doubling down on the "Trump is Evil, vote Democrat or suffer!" rhetoric, without trying to convince people that Biden is somehow better. Sorry, but saying "I know Joe Biden, and he's a nice guy!" isn't going to cut it.

This tactic is going to make the Republican rebuttal pretty easy. Just make Joe Biden look just as Evil as Trump (it won't be hard, he has plenty of skeletons in his closet), and you'll have millions of disillusioned voters staying home just like they did in 2016.
At least 200,000 Americans won't be going to the polls this time around.

I thought Bill was a very good president, and dont really care about his foibles while he was in office. Many other presidents were also philanderers and just never got maneuvered into lying about it under oath.
That said, I think both of the Clintons should just fade into the background now. I watched Bill's speech at John Lewis's funeral, and he just seemed to ramble, and honestly, it was uncomfortable to watch someone who was once a great speaker seem so unfocused.
Last night Bill stuck to his script, which I imagine he wrote, rewrote, reedited, practiced, rewrote and recorded. What he said at John Lewis's funeral was likely pretty much extemporized. He was OK last night, better than OK. But yes, he was once a great orator and I didn't feel that last night. Anyway, what he said was spot on. Jill killed it. She's the real deal. The delegate count smorgasbord was sensational.

Biden is the embodiment of “generic Democrat” and he is drubbing an incumbent president in the polls. But teh Establishment!
Well we've had two opportunities to elect a guy with some balls and passed on them both times. So obviously America is full of either morons or cowards. Or both.

It is probably under appreciated that the change in the party has moved people like Biden and Harris leftward on domestic policy. With progressives successfully knocking over more incumbents that probably should have retired anyway they will have more leverage in the party should the Ds take the presidency and the senate.

What exactly did NBC say that was misinformation? It's an exact quote?

See @ 1:30

It is misrepresentation of what is really happening. It makes it sound like she is snubbing Joe Biden, when that is not what is happening. It was a roll call speech, not a key note speech. She was there to nominate Bernie because convention rules state that all candidates that bring delegates to the DNC must be nominated by two people. It was a procedural thing.

Remember that until last night Joe Biden WAS NOT the democratic party candidate for President. He was the candidate presumptive. The actual decision on who will be the DNC's candidate is decided at the convention (that is the real point of the convention) by a vote of the delegates, which are assigned based on the states rules. It is a system very similar to that of the Electoral Collage. AOC was there representing Bernie. Even though everyone knew Joe had it locked up, it was her job to represent Bernie at the Convention.

"This is completely unacceptable, disappointing, and appalling," Ocasio-Cortez wrote in response to her 8.3 million followers. "The DNC shared the procedural purpose of my remarks to media WELL in advance. @NBC knew what was going to happen & that it was routine."

"You waited several hours to correct your obvious and blatantly misleading tweet. It sparked an enormous amount of hatred and vitriol, & now the misinfo you created is circulating on other networks," she added. "All to generate hate-clicks from a pre-recorded, routine procedural motion."

Doesn't matter, the trumptards that watch Fox will hear only that AOC snubbed Biden.
Well, if they watch Fox News they can't expect to hear anything that isn't false, so WTF. I knew what was happening and I'm quite sure she's endorsing Biden.

Does that matter? It's not like they were going to vote for Joe anyway.
I do understand AOC being pissed off about it though, it was a pretty cheap headline grab.
