Are we supposed to choose an item in the "I support research fighting...", or leave it at the "Any disease" default?

I had mine set to any disease but I would often get some cancer research work that would drop my ppd by 250k. So far my ppd is staying around 1 million with Alzheimer's and I actually prefer to contribute to Alzheimer's research.

I seem to be exceeding my own expectations, so I shall just let them run till the 26th. After that I will be AWOL till sometime in March.

So the weaker Halflings / Ogres, are already heading to the hills? On the first day?

There should be penalties for unknown-lying overproduction at this early stage!!! Like Half-ling elimination or reduction - burn them on a pile? :)

DC should be about painful penalties for over production :) Ha. Ha.. Ha..!

Where is my Mithril?

@biodoc will probably balance the teams after a few days. The real fight does not start until the teams are frozen, mid month usually.

Edit: I just looked at last year... I had the same ppd, 39 mil. Pokey was at 40 mil.

I've finally started my little production, my Gerbils will be happier being warmer through the day now! ;)

And they're cheering us on from the sidelines :D

It's early yet, but I did not meet my estimate either. Maybe I'll add a Xeon or two.

Well, I couldn't afford it, but I never thought I would win. I got a EVGA 3070TI in the newegg shuffle today. Then I forgot about the 5950x that was already in my cart. Oh well, box number 19...... Should be together before the end of the month.

Ya know, that's like having your 3rd child. You thought you were done at 2 and then.. well shucks, it looks like you weren't. :)

Its funny you say that.... This is my 3rd 5950x !!!!! But the video card is the biggie. Should be 5 million ppd or more. My 3070 is doing 4,766,051 for unit 18432, 51 seconds a frame.

@salvorhardin, on my limited observations so far you are correct! There seems to be a wide range of points based upon the project.

I ran Alzheimer's for awhile and it was a big jump compared to running "any" project on F@H.

Last year each team individually beat the prior years total points. Can we do that again this year?

Due to the lack of GPU's available to buy, I don't think that will happen. My PPD is the same as last year. I think so is Pokeys. That the two highest PPD's here.

I think mine is a tad higher, but only because I haven't shot myself in the foot.......yet. I was my own worst enemy last year.

I think we'll be able to do it. The workunits this year are worth more, from what I'm seeing it's about 50%. Last year I was averaging 500k ppd with a 3800x and a r9 390, and before I found my 7950 f@h was estimating my ppd at 800k. Right now my total estimated ppd is 1.1 million, 281k with 13 cores on a ryszen 3800x, 245k on a 7950 and 560k on a r9 390.
