So what did getting mad accomplish? Apologize and try to control yourself better next time.

I'm only basing it on your post, but this makes you sound like a prick. Regardless of directions somebody gives you, if you come close to an accident it's your fault. I can understand your frustration with it all, but unless you're rushing to the hospital to save somebody who's been shot in the face, what's the rush? No need getting pissed at her.

I don't see the point in getting so upset in that situation - you should feel bad.

Girls cry...It's what they do. If you don't yell at her often, just apologize and it shouldn't be an issue.

Yeah, you need to appologize. You were being an ass. You should have been going slower since she was still trying to figure out if that was the turn or not. Just because you told her to be decisive doesn't mean that she always can be.

Oh, get a GPS installed if you need to know exactly where to get somewhere with plenty of warning about where you will be turning.

That McGriddle's gonna come crawling back to you in no time. Don't even sweat it, women love men who make them cry, or slap them like a piece of bacon... Mmmm... bacon.

I really it was an accident, but she wasn't comprehending the fact that we came very close to hitting a guy head on and that's what made me stay mad.

You sound like the abusive type of guy. I am not talking about physically abusive, but the type that would get upset at her for minor things such not closing the fridge door, imo.

you're the one driving = your fault
you could have always just turned around and gone back and then made the turn

Big deal

You lose from this point on...

Lead footing around while applying pressure and stress when it is obvious the person is looking for the visual cue needed to identify the turn pretty much puts you clearly in the wrong.

you need to chill out, driving dangerously just because of road work isn't her fault

you are road raging and it isn't about her, you are just taking it out on her

You were the one driving, nobody else. She didn't make you do something stupid behind the wheel, you did that all by yourself. Stop laying blame where it doesn't lie. Quit being an abusive dick.

My wife is the same way...we went on a trip to Reno and she stated that she knows how to get to her cousin's house. Once we get to the city, she's like "it's the one with the white fence...Its here somewhere". I didn't flip out...just sighed and told her that we'll find it. Took us 30mins, but we found it :)

I apologized for getting mad, she apologized for not keeping her directions more straight. All is done and good.

Oh, and for those of you saying that I was speeding, road raging, etc., where the fvck is that coming from? The speed limit was like 35 and I wasn't even going that fast because it was raining. That doesn't change the fact that I had to brake hard and turn the wheel hard to make the turn, I don't have to be speeding for that to happen.

And yes, the best thing to do would've been to keep driving. I admit that openly. I ended up turning because, like I said before, I knew that was the last opportunity to turn for awhile, and it's just hard to have a split millisecond to make that decision when someone's yelling in your face to turn, so I ended up turning.
