Sounds like you're both in the wrong. She said she knew a route when she didn't and you flipped out on her. Neither action was entirely appropriate. Reconcile and move on.

You should reconcile, it's not like she did it on purpose... you were overreacting...

Apologize for making her cry. You don't necessarily need to apologize for getting pissed off though.

dude.

1. you shouldn't have been going so fast in the first place if you didn't know your way around.
2. never trust a woman with directions.
3. Therefore, it is all your fault. You should reconcile.
4. ...
5. profit!

Well, you could have just gone up and come back to the turn, that way you wouldn't have done that. Plus, people make mistakes and it's no use to yell at someone for it.

well, it cannot hurt to say that you are sorry for yelling. it will make things better.
sometimes people make mistakes.
If she was concious of the situation, she should appologize to you as well for not being completely aware of the directions.

Per last night's thread (that got locked), just tell her to STFU and give you a BJ...

But in seriousness, I don't think you're really wrong. But then again, it would probably be beneficial to apologize anyway - holding your ground usually isn't good for the relationship or something like that....

<---Is usually glad he's not in a relationship...

No point to holding your ground, reconcile.

I hate it when my girlfriend does that, she always tells me what to do when I'm driving, and she's always wrong.

She was just trying to help. Next time she might not... I'd go ahead and smooth things out with her.

You obviously have never made a mistake, so yeah... yell your head off Mr. Perfect.

You scared her enough to make her cry. Reconcile. You don't want your girlfriend to be afraid of you, do you?

Tell her you're sorry and then have a round of make-up sex. Girls will always suck with directions/driving, just get used to it and enjoy the finer things.

Women suck at directions, either giving or receiving. This is one of those times you should have made allowances for her.

You over-reacted. It may have been stressful at the moment, but it was really no big deal. If you didn't know where you were going, you should have reduced speed a bit. Of course, she should have been more sure about her directions. Both of you share the blame. You should appologize, though.

I did feel bad and started to apologize immediatley afterwards, but I couldn't stay that way and just got mad again because she kept acting like I had NO reason to be mad at all, just because it was an accident. I really it was an accident, but she wasn't comprehending the fact that we came very close to hitting a guy head on and that's what made me stay mad.

lets see u didnt know how to get home, your g/f thinks she knows the way home, you keep telling her that she better be right

what if she was wrong? you admitted you dont know any better way, at least she was trying to get you home

and why did you swerve listening to your g/f, thats the drivers fault...if she grabbed the steering wheel and then almost hit a car fine, but if you felt it was too late, just do a u-turn

I SHOULD have kept going, but it was a long country road that went back into the woods and I was too afraid we'd be stuck driving for miles so I turned at the last second.

I would done the same thing. Next time drive slow or stop somewhere and let her think.

One time i remember my GF pissed me off so badly that i was drive pretty fast and cutting lanes....appearently some hispanic guys were driving a freaken Del Sol? pretty small car, which was a bit hard to see on the side mirror. I think i cut this guy off really bad.

Pretty bad experienced.

Why should you be mad? You created a stressfull situation by constantly asking her if she was sure. Then instead of saying "whoops we won't make that turn" and turning around you tried to flip the car.
