Children are merely a reflection of their parents and today's society.

I blame all you old folks.

Besides, its what they see all their "rolemodels" wearing. Ever watch Nickelodian-sp??? The chicks that host the show wear low cut, tight shirts and skimpy skirts all the time.

Society is going down the crapper, please enjoy the ride.
Old people have been saying that about the coming generation since Rome was a great empire. :D
True.

But I still agree with im partially. Where does it end? ;) I think he's just implying that our slope's angle is becomming steeper, and it's starting to get hard to hang on. ;)

Yes, you are. ;)

My suggestion: Write your congressman and have him/her sponsor a bill making burqas mandatory. Remember: Children, particularly women, are NOT sexual beings, not until they turn 18 and receive the Sacrament of Marriage, after which they are allowed to have sex with their spouse only for procreation, under the guidance of their local priest.

no, you aren't getting old. The stigma for prostituting children is slowly withering away. Soon it will be okay for child porn. I'm serious - its already pretty close, and in someways children are already the prostitutes for the major industries.

Yep, it's sad! That's why I said that society needs to make up its damned mind...it's like a tidal wave you can't avoid.

yeah i find it sickening.

My wife's aunt lets her 12 year old dress like this.

I went to pick up my sister-in-law who is 12 from school (had to go to the doctor). I was fricken amazed at what these pre-teens were wearing! girls without breast wearing low cut shirts, hip hugger low cut jeans that bearly cover there ass. Many of them had there stomachs hanging out. I was shocked!

they didnt dress like that when i was in jr high. heck the only ones that dressed like that in high school were the sluts! man times have changed.

I can remember stuffing low slung hip hugger jeans and halter tops into my knapsack and changing out of the conservative clothing I left the house in the minute I got to school and I was 13 then.Things aren't so different now except that back then we had to sneak the clothing out of the house, nowadays the parents buy it for them, what does bother me is seeing things like thong undies and lace boy shorts marketed to the under 10 yr old age group. My housemate has a 9 yr old that's just a couple pounds lighter than I am and wears clothing and shoes that I borrow. Why are we hell bent on sexualizing children?

Because we as a society are schizophrenic. We "sexualize children", yet pretend to be shocked and offended when Janet Jackson bares a tit.

Society is an endless downward spiral of ending social taboos?

(But of course WE CAN'T put the Ten Commandments on court room walls; that's just SO bad for people!)

We live in a society where you almost never see children out running, playing ball or tag, riding their bikes, indeed, you almost never even see children walking to and from school as their parents are so afraid of sexual predators.Everywhere you turn in the papers,on tv there's warnings about this molester or that molester, why then is clothing made for adult women being marketed to little girls?

i wonderd this myself. We demonize child predators yet let them dress like lillte prostitutes? take that picture OP linked to. the main girl in white is wearing shorts soo low if they droped onother inch you would see her privates. Not to mention she has on a top that would look fine on a women standing on the corner waiting for a john.
