Of course,

I just meant to point out that Parents are stuck between a rock and a hard place.
It is their responsibility to not allow it, and they should not allow it... However, parents have the burden of being that nasty person who never let's their kid do anything (in their kids point of view), which of course is not true, but the problem being that if kids are bombarded with what these entertainers portray as being "Normal" for every kid out there, they begin to believe it, and resent their parents for it. SO, yes. Parents have a responsibility, I just feel for them b/c it is not being made any easier for them.

Well parents certainly have their work cut out for them now more than ever... then again so do the children. Parents shouldnt be "freinds" in my eyes... sure they can be buddies and such, but parents should certainly be the strong arm of the law with kids. Its the parents job to be the nasty person... I didnt have a kid to have somebody I could hangout with ogle chicks and drink beer with.

The media sucks... I will do my damnedest to make sure my kids stay away from it as much as possible. Besides I REALLY pray night that they dont enjoy pop-culture/MTV/etc etc... As I loathe it and always will. Commercial music has got to go. :)

I agree. I'm thinking a 10 year missionary journey to Mongolia might be in order from the time my kids are 7 till about 17 and hopefully by then they're smart enough to not be so influenced.

She is Britney's younger sister...what did you expect?

Besides, its what they see all their "rolemodels" wearing. Ever watch Nickelodian-sp??? The chicks that host the show wear low cut, tight shirts and skimpy skirts all the time.

Society is going down the crapper, please enjoy the ride.
Old people have been saying that about the coming generation since Rome was a great empire. :D

but I bet their 13 year old daughters didnt dress like that. I can just imagine what the girls will be wearing when my son gets to high school. I am guessing its going to be a toss up between butter and saran wrap.

You're right, they didn't, some of their 13 year old daughters in Rome might not have had any clothes and "serviced the emperor's staff." :)

And they have usually been right.

I'm so glad my high school has such simple rules for clothing. Fingertips rule: put your hands down to your side. Shorts/skirts hems can't be above your fingertips. No stomachs hanging out either.

no, you aren't getting old. The stigma for prostituting children is slowly withering away. Soon it will be okay for child porn. I'm serious - its already pretty close, and in someways children are already the prostitutes for the major industries.

yeah soon you will see naked/sexual scenes with 14-16 year olds in movies.

It has already happened (see Knightley, Keira)

It's always happened. Check out Blue Lagoon from the early 80's with Brooke Shields.

Actually Brooke Shields used a (18+) body double for the tit shots

You actually borrow clothes from a 9 year old?
