I can remember stuffing low slung hip hugger jeans and halter tops into my knapsack and changing out of the conservative clothing I left the house in the minute I got to school and I was 13 then.Things aren't so different now, what does bother me is seeing things like thong undies and lace boy shorts marketed to the under 10 yr old age group. Why are we hell bent on sexualizing children?
Society is an endless downward spiral of ending social taboos?
(But of course WE CAN'T put the Ten Commandments on court room walls; that's just SO bad for people!)
We live in a society where you almost never see children out running, playing ball or tag, riding their bikes, indeed, you almost never even see children walking to and from school as their parents are so afraid of sexual predators.Everywhere you turn in the papers,on tv there's warnings about this molester or that molester, why then is clothing made for adult women being marketed to little girls?

i wonderd this myself. We demonize child predators yet let them dress like lillte prostitutes? take that picture OP linked to. the main girl in white is wearing shorts soo low if they droped onother inch you would see her privates. Not to mention she has on a top that would look fine on a women standing on the corner waiting for a john.

I don't see a problem with the shirts/blouses.
The skirts have to go though.
That's really sad.Originally posted by: Geekbabe

Boston,a place where children are escorted to and fro school,a place where their activities are always adult supervised and scheduled. You seldom see elementary school aged children by themselves anywhere.
When I was a kid summer meant freedom, being able to take off on my bike for the day, hang out at the park or the lake with other kids,go to the library whatever.I had a damn childhood.

I think you are unnecessarily demonizing sexy clothes. That top would also look fine on a woman who's out shopping, or out having a good time at a club, or out seeing a movie, or out at a restaurant, or just doing whatever. Just because some clothing item is somewhat revealing doesn't mean that it's only meant for prostitutes.

I am glad it isn't that way here. At least not that extreme. Yet.
