12 miles since my last post. I have been nursing a sore ankle and had a 5k to run today so I backed off on the mileage a little bit. I ended up finishing in 23:32 which is a little over two minutes better than the same race last year.

1/2 marathon this morning, hilly course through Umstead State Park in Raleigh. The course was 13.22 miles according to my Garmin and I finished in 1:39:02. The 7:30 pace is actually a slight bit faster than 2 year ago. I wasn't sure what kind of shape I was in so I held back a bit, so I'm pretty stoked.

Congratulations to drteming on a great half run!

Ran a local 5K on a tough course on Sat. My son was leading most of the race but got caught on the brutal uphill finish. Still, he's pretty pleased with second. My oldest daughter ran it side-by-side with my youngest, who finished her first 5K ever at age 9. A great morning with the kids.

That big run never happened. Got cancelled due to the organizer getting injured. So I went to Daytona instead and got a major sunburn and some mild sun sickness. Yay. But I did run 13 miles over the weekend.
