+5 on an unseasonably warm January day - nice!

BTW, are you all counting treadmill miles, or just actual road and trail miles?

For myself, I do not count treadmill miles. The treadmill is just part of a regular workout.

+ 12 of actual road miles during the weekend

I usually don't get on a treadmill (never liked them much, so I only use them when injured) so everything I've contributed has been road miles.

What is the difference? I can only use a treadmill now due to the high being around 30F with snow and ice on the roads.

Edit: That came off as being rude. Was really asking that question.
I run outside all winter long and I live in upstate NY. Snow and ice don't make running outside impossible, just more challenging. I like it personally.

Waiting for the summer so I have some light to try them out:awe:
You're missing out. Get a headlamp, get some warmer running gear, microspike your shoes (if necessary), and go discover the trails.

But maybe springtime would be a safer time for you, less risk involved. Next winter though, you may be hooked. 😉

Even with a lamp, that doesnt help with the 6-12 inches of snow:| Once it melts Ill look into it.
