The Herc GTXP is still a good soundcard, but that's only if your are looking into custom speaker systems. The Z560's should provide surround sound with almost any other sound card. I use my GTXP to hook up to my amp for some good 7.1 sound setup. (I use the speakers on my amp). All the extra...
I think this is one of the only reasons I'd even partition a drive. So I can reformat the OS without losing a bunch of data. Although if you have two harddrives, then there is no need to partition.
(I'm with the 'NO PARTITION' group here)
Hi, I have a slight conflict with the intellitype software for my microsoft keyboard, and would like to solve it by:
1- creating a user account that has the software installed (or activated)
2- creating a user account that doesn't have the software installed (or activated)
Oh, and I'm using...
I have a dual monitor setup also, and I run into problems with different games. Sometimes, they simply mirror the image on the 2nd monitor (which is easy to fix by just shutting one monitor off). and other times they just run into display problems:
1- such as trying to display the game over...
yeah, laptops did it "automatically" because it is easier to show the direct pixels rather than try to interpolate a signal image and spread it among extra pixels. (kind of like anti-aliasing in the hardware form :D )
And to answer the question of the topic: It depends on your monitor. All flat...
I'm using win 2k with P4 1.7 using SiS 645 chipset. (the early one) and 512 MB DDR.
I had a few problems, but u can see from my earlier post that I solved it. The drivers seem to be working OKAY.....
well i got it working by reinstall 4.10 drivers, uninstalling using the 5.01 installation. and then installing the 5.01 drivers.
BUT, i noticed there seems to be more noise in the 5.01 drivers.... (how "non-silent" it is when u turn up volume on speakers without playing any sounds). I notice...
yeah, im definitley having the same problem as derusto.
It keeps rebooting after uninstalling my old drivers, and would not do anythig after that. Just execute, uninstall old, reboot. Doesn't even unpack the new drivers file so I can install them manually.
Well, thx for all the input guys!
the 100 dollar deal for the Klipsch 2.1 looks good, but does anyone know exactly how well these "refurbished" items are?
And I'll look into altec lansing also. I suppose i can't ask for the best when I give myself a budget. :P
I'm looking for new computer speakers, and I am having a slight quandary....
I want a 2.1 setup simply because of my budget. (I don't want to spend more than 100)
And I also heard and now WANT the klipsch 2.1. But I had no idea it would be so expensive!
So now I am looking towards you guys for...
I don't see how you pulled the CPU and Fan out in the first place.
Assuming you have a P4 with an adequate heatsink, the heat sink will most likely make it impossible for you to release the holding lever for the CPU.
Unless you tore the CPU and heatsink out of its own socket (which is...
