Are you downloading/running other programs at the same time? Obvious question, but this can really kill you in gaming.

Returned the RAM and got a couple fans and a controller. Steady 29 degrees C now. ;)

Both are PC2100 512mb and my mobo is supposed to handle up to 2 gigs. I'm going to return it and get a matching stick of what I have, maybe that'll make it work. I have Kingston, this bad RAM is Corsair.

Any chance you can enlighten me on how you fixed it? My friend had this problem at one point and ended up swapping the PSU out for a new one.
