usbs will not work with sp2

me and my bro have p4p800's from asus. but both of our usbs simply won't work. i do have a problem with my processor (two pins are missing) which causes me to "clear default values" or something similar (pretty much resets cmos) after continuing to turn on my computer.

at first i thought this was the problem, but my brother doesn't get any errors when booting his computer and his usbs don't work either. could anyone give instructions on how to deal with this usb problem? i prefer to fix this problem (so i can know for future cases) rather than just buying a pci usb card.

any help would be very kind. thanks. 🙂

i tried searching their site, but couldn't find any. my bro and i have a p4p800 regular which uses socket 478. i'll be happy to give as much info as you need.
