Computer has "double vision"

Ok well, long story short, I reformatted my hard drive and reinstalled windows a few months ago, my PC was way too cluttered. It's worked fine, except this has always bothered me. My mouse would go far off the screen, and so would windows...I'd never get it why until I took a screenshot. The screenshots are of two screens, one being my monitor and another a blank background.

Can anyone help? I'm terrible with software issues.

Specs:

2.26 ghz intel p4
512 mb ram
nvidia geforce 4 mx440 64mb vid card
windows xp home edition
80gb 7200 rpm hd

Monitor is a 15" Samsung Syncmaster 570V TFT.

Any help would be much appreciated.
 
Bah, I see what happened now. I was tinkering with the display and must've enabled the Extend Windows Desktop feature on accident. Thanks for the help.
