Its installed and mounted correctlly and im getitng a "no post" and the monitor isnt displaying a signal. I tried the xp2100 and same thing! I tried it with nothing but ram and a video card, etc. I tried taking out the cmos battery, but same result! I even tried a different monitor and it is the same result. Please help, thanks.

Is the monitor actually displaying "No Signal, Check Connection" or is it just black?

The monitor has power, correct?

I had this issue a few days ago. If you have an AGP video card, make sure that the little notches in the release lever are clicking into place on the video card. May seem like an easy oversight, but it happens.

ok - try this. it hurts, but sometimes works.

Disconnect everything, take mobo out of box, have a good nite sleep, put mobo back in box and hook up to psu. [even without cpu]. switch one. what happens?
Add cpu. Switch on, what happens?
Add Ram. then vga, then one hdd.
try this - usually i wake up at 4am going SHEEEiiit, that is what i did wrong. then when i wake up, i know that i woke up earlier, but forgot what it was about!!!! ;-)

The monitor is connected correctly, and Ive tried onh 3 diferent monitors now. Montag, I tried all your steps except the sleep one, havent had much of that. I didnt try connecting the hdd, didnt think it would make much of a difference. Everything seems to work fine plugged in indvidually, no beeps or wierd sounds, and everything heats up.

Ok, try different power supply unit.

if you feel like splashing out a little, acquire a 'postcard'. Sits in a pci slot at bootup, and tells you where the computer got to before it decided not to go any further
