i hav ethe same goal... id like to know what Thugsrook and Duvie say.................. hmm...... im thinking the Abit IT7 MAX2 and either the p4 2.26, 2.4b, or 2.53......
suggestions for hitting 3 ghz???
mski
the thing is, the p4 can really take advantage of faster ram than just ddr333 or ddr266, and the SIS648 wont run anything faster and be stable....
mski
the 845e doesnt officially support ddr333, but ive never heard it not running it and ive heard success stories of FSB speeds at 180mhz and still climbing (with abit IT7)
should i get ddr3200 (corsair XMS) to give myself the best chance of hitting FSB200mhz and running my ram at 400mhzddr, or is this a real waste of $40? and i should just get ddr2700????
mski
anyone know where this board is, its been a month since abit announced its introduction, and i badly want it... the serial ata and return of ps/2 for my keyboard i would grealtly enjoy.... please assist me in this manner even if there is now information... by saying no one knows or something...
All of you who are using a i845g board for overclocking, do you disable the onboard graphics or whhaaat? supposedly this board is better overclocking than a i845e board...hmm... cause i dont need the onboard graphics and the sis648 isnt looking like to great of an overclocker....
help me out...
why does everyone refuse to discuss the sis648 now that its coming out and everyone loved to talk about it when it was announced??????
mski
thoughts on the sis648 and eventual possible potential to run ddr400 or when the sis648dx is coming out....
i just thought it ran fine in Athlon boards, and didnt know why it wouldnt then also run fine in p4 boards
well what motherboard/chipset would you guys suggest........... I'd like to run a 2.4ghz at 3.0ghz.... i like the new features on the sis648 boards... will i be able to o/c that much...
ok, so a P4 benifits from lots of bandwith/high mhz, and the athlonXP doesnt take need high bandwidth/highmhz to run as fast as a p4.... so then why are there no p4 chipsets that will run stable with a ddr 400 chip in it...... and there are athlon chipsets that run ddr 400 just...
you guys think a radeon 8500 128mb or 64mb ......... 64mb are hard to find, but i found an OEM one <http://www.enetshoponline.com/atirad85ddr61.html> (is this an 8500 or an 8500LE)... ??..... hmmm
