Is Anyone OCing the current 2.53 P4?

On the verge of the P4 Price drops (okay they're already dropping) I was wondering if anyone, who is currently using this part, is getting good OCing results? I'm hoping to pick this chip up in the next week. Either going with an Abit or Epox mobo. Just curious if it is worth it. I'm going for a 3ghz oc, air cooled. I'm looking for the right chip.

Please give details of your overclock(Voltage, fsb, temp)

Have tried 1 2.53 and got to 2.85 only. Got another coming my way Wednesday. really want to hit 3 gig.

Yeah. I've got a 2.53GHz P4 overclocked to 2.85GHz at default voltage using the stock heatsink/fan/thermal pad. I'm pretty sure that I could hit 3GHz, but my motherboard's maximum FSB is 150MHz.

I have the same MOBO Asus p4t533-c. It only goes up to 150 like jbond says. I think the Gigabyte goes up to 156 on the fsb. thease are RDram boards for your info. As for the DDR, you might want ton ask Thugs or Duvie....They have done a lot of testing and they're the ones to watch.

i hav ethe same goal... id like to know what Thugsrook and Duvie say.................. hmm...... im thinking the Abit IT7 MAX2 and either the p4 2.26, 2.4b, or 2.53......

I am curious on what this cpu (2.53) can do... I only have seen it go up to 2.85 so far? Due to the lack of the FSB on my board, I can't get much higher. Good news, is very stable at 2.85 at default voltage. So, for the next question, does anyone have theirs (on air cooled) higher? <--------(water is ok also) I would really like to see..... Oh yea, I am in the real world here......I would like to see straight up scores if ya know what I mean.

No just to everyone.

So far the only reviews and Ocing results have been with RDRAM... and i know that Thug and Duive give us great info, they dont have a 2.53 P4 yet
