I get that irq error sometimes, too. Has to do with a Quadro2MX, and also with adaptec ezcd, in my case. as for the service pack here use the network install. It's the 101+mb one.

I just completed the part change to make my GeForce2 MX card think it's a Quadro2 MXR. Easy fix, and works like a champ. Now I'm wondering if anyone has tried to change the sdram on board over to ddr? Or even upping it to 64mb from 32mb? I've got the smd tools, and the experience to use it...

Did mine, had no problems at all. Geforce2mx, dual 733's, dual boot. Just after you get the os installed, head over to via and get the newest 4in1's. The only booger was getting the win-tv card done, but hauppage had some good drivers on the site. Just make sure you get the card recognized...

I fixed a hole couple of weeks ago, took about 20 minuts. Drywall mud and a piece of drywall to fill the hole. easy fix.

sounds like one of the old caching controller cards...I had one that would format a 6gb hard drive in 15 seconds. Why did everyone quit making/supporting them?

I've had a Toshiba, and dealt with their tech support. Not too bad. Ibm's tech support blew them away, even to the point that they've called me afterwards to make sure everything's ok with the system. I'm in Compaq tech support hell, 3 trips back for the same problem, and they really don't...
