I just did a clean format and install of WIndows 2k.

1. I get BSOD's saying something about IRQ not less or more (something close to that)

2. Out of no where my mouse only goes left to right no up and down.

3. Got a BSOD saying Page fault in nonpaged area.

HELP ME PLEASE.

Help me also get Windows and Office XP at the best price to

Thanks for everything.

The "IRQ less than or equal to" message usually points to a bad driver or unsupported hardware for win2k. Perhaps more detail can help us figure it out.

I imagine you have the latest bios and drivers for all your hardware, as well as, all hardware being in the win2k compatiability guide?

What are you doing just before you get the "IRQ" bsod? I have gotten it on occasion after restarting a crashed game, but it's uncommon.

About that latest bios

I knew I kept forgetting something

Whats the URL for the compatability guide?

Are there any sites that would have links to all the drivers I would need like windrivers does (but free)

The guide. I usually go to the manufacturers' sites and download them directly. I assume you installed service pack 2 as well?

SP2 was the first thing I did

Is there a way I can download to a regular .exe like say ICQ.

So I can just run it from a CD?

I am updating Bios and drivers now

I didn't understand your question. You mean download and save to an exe as opposed to running it via the web?

The IRQ error. As Staver have said it's usually a driver problem. Can you repeat that error ie always occur during bootup or when you run a particular application? I used to have the problem each time I try to close down netmeeting. It turned out to be a crappy Logitech web cam driver!

I get that irq error sometimes, too. Has to do with a Quadro2MX, and also with adaptec ezcd, in my case.

as for the service pack

here

use the network install. It's the 101+mb one.

I looked up your Page Fault bsod. It says it is hardware or driver related as well. In fact, it may be the same driver or peripheral that is causing the IRQ error.

IRQ_LESS_THAN_OR_EQUAL_TO means that you having an IRQ conflict. one of your PCI cards cannot share IRQs properly. check it out in your Device manager. if you want to clear up that error you will probably have to Change your COMPUTER from ACPI to STANDARD PC--Under Device Manager. Then go into the BIOS and DISABLE ACPI. ACPI is probably putting all your hardware on one IRQ. the page fault error could also be the fault of ACPI. if you still get page faults after you turn off ACPI in the BIOS and the OS you probably have bad RAM. Just make sure that if or when you turn off ACPI do in the OS first then on the reboot go into the BIOS and turn it off there in that order...
