Until then, all I,m saying is that it's not a known fact until we see an offical announcement/review or we see the actual cards. Any reasonable person would agree that this is the case. Well, the listing on ZipZoomFly for an actual card would have been as close to official as I have yet seen. Granted, the 470 MHz core speed may have been a mistake but to me it seems much more believable than the rumored 550 core speed. My guess is that the reference core speed is going to be 470, with vendors selling overclocked cards up to 550. I'll gladly admit I was wrong if it turns out that way.

It's really interesting, sometimes. M0RPH is so careful to dance on that line, always allowing himself a retreat that at least *sounds* plausible. He might not even be doing it consciously.

Sure enough, he comes in hard with the bait, or as DP would say, he rings that bell as loud as he can, then quickly backs off, screaming "I didn't mean it!".

A few others do this, too. At least with Ackmed and Ronin we know where we stand

I do know one thing at 470/1700 it ain't gonna crush an X1800XT not when they are hitting 9100 stock 9650 at CCC max and just over 10000 on stock volts.


Now the supposed EVGA "black pearl KO" water cooled 512 GTX might but thats hardley a mainstream card.

Did you happen to miss what I posted? Perhaps you can email guru3d and ask if they made up those numbers also. You're hell bent on hoping that the 7800GTX 512MB does not beat the x1800xt (if so, barely) just so you can come back with some childish remarks at rollo and ronin.

It's your only motivation for rooting against this card and that in itself is one of the lamest things I've ever seen and this includes the abundance of lame things on the Internet.
