Right, because it makes sense that with the 7800's selling now that have 490 core, they'd offer SLOWER clock speeds on the new cards, right?

You know damn well I'm talking about the reference speed, which is 430 for the present GTX. A 40 MHz increase would be reasonable to expect.

Considering this isn't a reference design we're talking here, but a full fledged vendor card, no, I DON'T know. Common sense dictates otherwise.

M0RPH, I don't normally get into these pissing contests, but seriously, shut the hell up. It's a known fact that the core on the 512MB GTX cards is higher than any existing 256MB cards. It will not be 470.

GeForce 6200 4 3 64/128-bit GDDR/128MB/256MB 300MHz 275(550)
EDIT:
Fixed the format. It could be quite possible that 570 was suppose to be the core number on the evga specs. Mistakes happen.

Seriously, it's apparent time and again that your stances aren't legitimate, and you're simply out to argue with pretty much everyone. Will you shut up when the 512MB GTX comes out with a > 490MHz Core? How many times do you have to be proven an idiot before you shut up and/or go away?

Resorting to personal insult again, eh? I'll happily shut up about this when the card comes out and we know what the actual core speeds will be. Until then, all I,m saying is that it's not a known fact until we see an offical announcement/review or we see the actual cards. Any reasonable person would agree that this is the case. The only person that has proven himself to be an idiot here is... well, you.
Btw, you should be getting your 7800GTX 512MB from Nvidia this week, right? (according to your recent post) *snicker*
